I see a lot of teenagers these days greeting each other in the street with hugs. It's all barely suppressed sexual frustration by the looks of it.
    Pah... Teenagers!

Girls in my old school used to greet each other by KISSING.

And these were first years, 12 year olds. :(

    Different over here.

All of my female friends are greeted every day with a kiss. Some with a hug.
If I'm ever introduced to girls its often followed by a kiss on the cheek.
As for guys, all get a hand shake.

I like hugs but I don't like those people who think hugging is what you do every time you meet someone new! I don't know you so please don't hug me! It's grand if I'm drunk though, everyone can have a hug! :pac:

I hate all that hugging ****e. I always teabag my friends.

Do you like to be hugged all the time?

I can take or leave it.

But I find it a bit strange when a stranger comes up and cuddles me on introduction.

Have Dragan & Co. started their hugs campaign again?

I dont mind getting a hug, but to prove that they are worthy of such an experience they will have to suck the back of me bag first.

A good hug off a mate you havent seen in a while is great!

You cant go wrong with a random hug from a stranger as well. Example: I was at Electric Picnic and at Brian Wilson some random girl just turned around in the middle of a song and hugged me - really restores your faith in humanity:pac:

    Nope.

I don't like it when random friends come and hug you.
I don't mind it but I don't go around looking for hugs like most people nowdays seem to.
I just prefer saying "goodbye" and leave. Don't need all them hugs and fake emotions.

Guilty, but it was an accident. I was with my friend in town and her friend who I knew only to see was hanging out with us. At the end of day, we were saying our goodbyes and I gave her a hug, so it was kind of like a reflex and I automatically gave her friend a hug. I actually felt a bit embarrassed, but he didn't seem to mind. In all fairness, he wasn't a COMPLETE stranger, I had just spent the day with him, but he wasn't a friend either.

Otherwise, I quite like getting hugs from people. It's better if it's from someone bigger than you, it feels really cuddly. I wouldn't particularly mind if a stranger hugged me, once they were clean and smelled nice.

I dislike when girls shake hands with you when you meet them think it should be a hug with girls and a hand shake from guys.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,737 ✭✭✭BroomBurner

Only one person can give me proper hugs. Tentative hugs are often offered by very close family members. Nobody else is allowed to touch, bar maybe an intro handshake.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,556 ✭✭✭✭AckwelFoley

im an awesome hugger, ive been known to hug women randomly in pubs and nightclubs if they endear them selves to me. Its easy to be a good hugger if you are as big a fooking oaf as i am, you can completely envelop the target hugee.

Man on man hugs are gay
