    1. Is it true that your better half Aisling plays all the major tourneys online for you??

    2. Has being bald effected your play? I only ask Jude cause I know it has had a major impact on Noel Hayes.

How do you keep motivated and concentrated whilst playing long hours?
How do you manage toilet breaks?
Accross how many sites do you typically play?

    Oher q's:

How do you gain reads accross so many tables, do you use PT3 or HM? do you just become familiar with fellow online regulars games? Do you opr players?

How big an influence has Fintan " the godfather of soul " Gavin had on your poker career.

Putt these Galway players in order of how you rate them as players; Pat Callahan, Dave Curtis, Silky, Keith McFadden, Derek Murry, Fintan.

When I hear the terms " getting it quietly ", " most underrated player " one player always springs to mind for me; would you agree ( hint, he can fling a seven iron 100 yards )

    You have a PHD ( in bio-chemistry ? ), reckon you'll ever use it.

Isn't it about time mr Rizla hit that six figure score; he gets there so often, is he doing something wrong deep or just running bad late.

Whats the most someone tried to nip you for after your scoop touch.

the hand i remember from your scoop win was when you double floated a guy and then took the pot on the river, can you go through your thought process for that hand.

Good Luck in the well and thanks for taking the time.

started a game in my house about 2004 played once or twice a week until i discovered the internet about a 12-18 months later. the house game was more or less forgotten about after that.

the players i looked up to when i started to play a lot online were sorel mizzi, annette obrestad and isaac baron. still think there all top class players and am sure each one of them will continue to have great results

if i play 5 days incl. sunday your talking about 80-90 tourneys

i play very little cash games, the last time i played 1 was 3-4 months ago and i only played a few hours 3 or 4 tables 6-handed $5-10

Thanks for taking the time out to do this.

    - What did you do before poker? Could you / would you ever go back to it?
    - Generally speaking, how accepting do you find your family / friends / relatives are of the fact that you play poker and consistently win at it?
    - Could you talk a little about the differences in standard / playing tendencies between live tournament fields in Ireland / the rest of the world?
    - Do you talk about hands with other players much as a learning tool, or do you prefer to work through it on your own?
    - Do you find forums like this or 2 + 2 useful as a tool to improve your game?

    Cheers.

graduated from college in oct 08 after finishing a PhD in biochemistry. never got round to actually looking for a job. would definitely not rule it out of the picture. if the cards took a turn for the worst or i got seriously board with them i could see myself going back to science

my wife has supported me right from the start. her parents and mine weren't
as supportive until they realized how much i was winning

i dont play a huge amount of live so am unable to give u a good answer for that q. when i travel abroad to play tournaments the buy-in is usually quite high. when i play in ireland my average buy-in would be about 500. so it is difficult to compare the 2.

myself my brother and a few of my friends that play never shut up about poker discussing hands ,suck outs and bad beats. i think it s a great tool for improving your game .

dont use forums, probably should i m sure there is plenty of useful information on them

    1. biggest leak pushing too many bb

    2. i always double rebuy at the start. am usually willing to gamble with 10 s or better. will gamble with aq near break and always willing to put it in with ak
in the smaller rebuy will gamble with any 2

    3. 20-30 bb will still raise with any cards within my range and have a cont. bet. reraise with jj qq kk aa ak. will fc with all the other pp. usually flat w aq. 20 bb is the most i am willing to lose with 10s or aq. willing to gamble 30 bb w ak sometimes jj depending on the player.

i gradually developed my style from learning from my mistakes and watching what some of the top players were doing.
    hate playing against maniacs
my plan was to play my stack. when i could afford to pull moves without crippling myself i did.
i knew most of the players on the ft and knew alot of them reraise light so when i thought the time was right i popped them back. the deep stacks we were playing made this easy.
i was never too good at managing my bankroll once played the 100-r with $200 in my acc. thankfully i got a bit better at managing it now

best thing u can do is give the players the total wrong opinion of your game. if your tight its going to benefit u if they the opposite eventually they cop, but it can take a while. worst thing is only paying attention to hands u play-watch every single hand

i always try to give the image i m tight. nobody falls for it ireland because there is usually a few players at the table who know me and my style. but when i play abroad i m usually unknown.

have you ever come across sckill (stars) or sckilla (fulltilt)? if so how did you find his play?

obv you change gears as tournaments progress and considering your table etc. but overall would you say you more often employ and TAG or LAG strategy in the early to mid stages of a large field tournament when stacks are still 30/40bb+?

no epiphany just continually adjusted my game things that worked i incorporated into my game, things that were costing me chips or regularly knocking me out i kept to a minimum

at the moment i m really enjoying playing poker so not sorry about turning my back on science. i ll always have my qualification so if things take a turn for the worst i ve got a back up plan
