just installed gameboid lite along with rom gripper great app you can use multiple emulators eg atari game boy game gear and so on, you can download what ever game you want for free, gamboid states that you cant save games in the free version but this is untrue if you use it with rom gripper at the moment im playing final fantasy 1 and 2 the whole reason I downloaded it because there are no free decent rpg on the market so this is a really handy app

Anyone else having problems with Dolphin HD since the last update? I have it set to use the SD for the cache but for some reason it seems to use my phone memory. I have about 25mbs free on my HTC Desire but until I close the browser I get low space warnings.

I've reinstalled it, reset the settings etc all the basic stuff but still keep getting the same problem.

My HTC Desire is rooted with Cyanogemod7, with AdFree and it does nothing. Any idea? I think I read somewhere I need S-OFF but I have PVT-4.

I don't watch much TV but TV Guide - Ireland is a great app. You can filter the channels it shows which is great as we survive on FTA and terrestrial only. It even gives a link to search IMDB for info and you can set reminders

I also came across Ireland News:

I had to uninstall adfree again as it was messing up a lot of my apps and making them unusable.

You have to S-OFF for Ad-Free to work on HTC Desire as you can't push the modified hosts file when the phone is booted up.

You can S-OFF the PVT4 model (same version I have) with alpharev.nl bootloader. Its as easy to use as Unrevoked3.

The alternative is to download a hosts.zip file from here and install it through your recovery menu.

So I can still do it without S-OFF by just installing the hosts file???
Gonna try S-OFF in the next week or so but that'll do me til then!

Using whatsapp to chat instead of text - brilliant app!

but my question is does anyone know why it is only importing the pictures of two of my contacts rather than all of them? 99% of my contacts have pictures?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,941 ✭✭✭The_B_Man

possibly you have to sync them in your phonebook?
Although, i've all my contacts synced and I've no photos at all!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,542 ✭✭✭eoferrall

Least I am not the only one. my brother has all his photos in. just where there!

I've fired off an email to the support for whatsapp, so I will report bakc if they get back to me.

    Hi all,

I have +/- 50 albums in (mostly) MP3 format installed on my internal SD card and have Mixzing Free and Miui Music players installed in addition to the bog standard Android Music app.

I'm one of those people who rarely listens to an entire album and instead prefer to create playlists which suit the mood I'm in (Chillout music) or activity I'm doing e.g. gym or jogging music.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to create playlists in any of the aforementioned apps. They all offer "Playlist" options but not (as far as I can figure out) the ability to create a playlist by selecting tracks and adding them to a named playlist.

Please put me out of my misery and tell me how to create playlists. I must be missing something really obvious.

    Ben

Ok for Mixzing here's the way:

    1. Go into music
    2. Pick a song (long press)
    3. From the menu that pops up pick Add to Playlist
    4. Pick a playlist or New to create a new playlist

    Hopefully that helps

    Drzeuss

hey there lucky charm dont go into the gba app just go straight into the rom gripper app from there click on the gameboyadvance then at the top it should say gba bios click this and setup the bios after this a list of games should come up.

ps just realised you may not have rom gripper installed you need this also for it to work
