Downloaded it, seemed quite complicated tbh.

However, share it did my job.

Basically, you select what it is you want to share, the app gives you a link.

Then it turns your phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot, which you connect with (using the ereader) then you go to said link, and it downloads it in seconds.

    Very nifty.

    Highly recommended.

Xender is another good file sharing app. I use it to transfer videos from Android to iPad.

So Cloud magic just killed itself....

CloudMagic is now Newton. And it’s not just the name that’s changed.*

Newton supercharges your email with powerful features like:

    ● Read Receipts
    ● Send Later
    ● Sender Profile
    ● Snooze
    ● Connected Apps
    ● Undo Send

You will be started off with a 14-day free trial, during which you can access all the features. Once the trial ends, you can subscribe to Newton for $49.99 per year or continue using the app without the premium features.

So I'll be looking for a new mailbox app.

    Any recommendations?

Been using Nine the last couple of years and can't fault it. Once the trial is up I think it's about €10 for the full version.

Auralux 2 has apparently been out in the play store for a while. I was a big fan of the original but only found this recently. The core gameplay is pretty much the same but there's some nice upgrades included.

    - It gets a graphical overhaul making it more 3D, it looks very nice, but maybe isn't quite as good for zooming in and out.

    - Levels are split into "constellations", and each constellation has a special gameplay feature, things like walls, fog, moving planets, supernovae etc. The basic constellation is free, and is rehashes of levels from the first game. The other constellations have new levels, and you get 2 free levels per constellation.

    - You can speed up the game with 3 speed settings. This is a big improvement, especially at parts of the game where you are just waiting to grow your forces.

It's still a very solid game, but could get expensive if you want to buy all the levels

edit: just remembered some other improvements

    - There's some shortcuts for commonly repeated actions, such as selecting all, or repeating the last command
    - The AI is improved and is more aggressive
    - There's a multiplayer mode which I haven't tried yet

Anybody tried Motorsport Manager, it's currently only 10c, great little management sim for the price!

The subscription is only for advanced features, I believe it will still work after the trial.

Agreed though that they just killed themselves! I'm going wait and see can I still use it as I do now once the trial is over otherwise I'll also be looking for a new email app

Badland 2 is out. Fun game and easy to play.

    Badland 2

Riddled with ads, and some of them are opening Chrome to tell me about Beautiful Ladies. Not very impressed.

€3.99 to remove ads and unlock all levels.

I rarely play any games but I downloaded Two Dots several weeks ago on the recommendation of my 11 year old. At level 298 now. Great game and since I keep running out of lives, it stops me from playing it 24hrs a day.

Looks good alright but its a pity you can't manually add reservation details. I've a trip coming up in a few weeks but since I booked through a travel agent I don't have any of the original booking confirmation emails for it to process.

Nope, you asked for a weekly view? It has an agenda widget that can show you all appointments/events for the week.

Yeah. installed it on an old phone & could only see one day with it, might try it again later.

Agenda Widget http://www.androidagendawidget.com/ from the Play Store is superb. Uses Google Calendar & Tasks. It's very customisable & the widget can be made full page.

Might take a while to get it exactly as you want but then it works really well.

Here is how it looks for me. I have 8 different calendars and you can pick and choose what ones to show on the widget (visible in mine are light blue for cinema releases, blue for work and red for personal).

That's pretty much the same as the stock widget I've got. I was using business calendar 2 but it started having issues with google Calender's that were supposed to be synced.
the current day always was on the LHS too which was good

Serious time to be checking that DB server :pac:

The timetable view on the bottom is the kind was after.

Allo arrived today. Appearing in the play store for some already but the apk's are out also. Been using it and seems pretty good so far. You can send messages to people who don't have it yet and they'll get a notification and can reply from there with the option to install also. The assistant seems useful too, though I haven't used it in-conversation yet.

Needs multi device and tablet support though or it offers nothing over Whatsapp.

Haven't used it yet but it read about it earlier. I believe the notifications only work is USA, Brazil and India for people who don't have the app, or have I got that wrong? Do people on iOS or windows mobile get the same notification do you know?

Is it strange or concerning that the new Lotto app isn't available in the Play Store?
