Tbh, half the fun of going is not knowing people. As Moonbaby said, it's impossible not to mix and socialise.

Ah I know, its just that I've never been to a LL beers. Even though I've been to tonnes of other boards beers I'm still nervous/shy when going to new ones. :o :P

I thought it was the After Hours one... Ok, well, tbh, I'd feel uncomfortable at that.

Meant to post earlier - September issue of Esquire has some great articles on suits. Buying, accessories and in fashion. Oh, and an interview with Tarantino that I've not read yet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,815 ✭✭✭✭Dord

Don't think I'll be buyin' it, but I do need to get myself at least one suit soon. It'd be handy to have it there in case the need arose.

My work wear is smart casual (open shirt and slacks) so I never really found it necessary so far. However if I do have to go visit a customer at some stage, it'd be good. (I hope! - my customers are in nice places. :D)

Esquire is a pretty good read actually, havnt bought it in a while.I was never into the lad mags - Loaded,FHM etc, I think they are horrendous publications.I used to rad Bizarre magazine religously and have about 70 issues chronologically stored that I refuse to let my mother bin.

Playboy is a great magazine, great interviews, some very good health related topics covered, good reviews and of course, teh nudie laydeez.

Esquire is one of the best as far as 'Mens magazines' go - In general, I'm not a fan, but they do it with class. I pick up i-D, V, Dazed & Confused and a few others - It's mostly work related, but there's some great articles in. Nutz, Front et al, are grand when you're 14, but seriously lack anything by the time you're 18...

I'm a big fan of Mod fashion, but it's pricey. Suits are always handy to have. You can always wear open collar with the suits. If you're not into the suits, just go for a decent trousers and long sleeved shirt, I picked up a few Remus trou's last week, they're a really nice fit, and have that new 'crease-proof' material that's great for work.

Yeah, I'm not really into those types of magazines either. Usually go for music mags... I probably have a few hundred now. Need to get rid of most of them soon as I'm moving.

I am the same but have several and good brands.

A cheap suit looks cheap especially the fit on the shoulders. You might not notice but suit wearers will.

If you havent been to Banbridge retail park get yourself up there and you will get good stylish ones a lot less then you would pay in Dublin.

In Dublin Bentoni do a nice suit and have lots of clearout stuff ATM and have the accessories.

Oh definitely, if I do get one it'll be a good one. I doubt I could buy an "off the shelf" one anyways. I have enough trouble just trying to find trousers long enough.
