    Nah its the nature of the markets, Ascot is a big meeting, loads of cash flying about so the picks by any one tipster isn't going to make a very measurable impact.

    Its why when you read comments like "X had the bookies running for cover as he tipped 4 long shot winners last weekend" is a load of PR nonsense, bookies make money by taking money off people who back favourites that loose, so they love it when Hugh Taylor or Tom Segal pick a 15 or 20/1 shot. The pick up if you back a winner is big but in terms of the whole market, its a tiny percentage.
