    Oh I forgot about Galway!:o
Woops! Got ahead of myself there..

Why doesn't he take the frees anymore??

Yea you foresaw the ending anyway....
Ermm well Farragher is meant to be as good and tbf he kinda is and with him if gets points from frees it kinda settles him down and hes more prone to get them from play iswell.
But imho hes quite a fairweather hurler if theyre winning and things are going well he could score from any part of the pitch, but if the going gets tough hes one of the first to give up, hence he was subbed today.
Joe was kinda shit today though 2 points... Me thinks Galway were tired from the 3 games in a row coz Kilkenny didnt even play well..

    :(
I think they need Joe to take the frees, cos he's fairly constant with dead balls...or at least like the closer ones, and let Farragher take far out frees
Nah, I disagree about Joe being shit today though, or at least he didn't have a chance to not be shit, cos he was always marked by at least 2 Kilkenny men, he was given no space so meh. He got 2 good points in the end though, so good for him...
And yeah, 3 games in a row can't have helped much but tbf, Kilkenny were gonna win no matter what. They never even gave it their all at any stage today, and we were still no match for them really. Like we tried, but Galway always have this 'sitting back' mentality, where if they're either a good bit in front or a good bit behind, they just sorta give up for a bit. That's exactly what happened when Kilkenny got two soft points in the second half, and it took them twenty minutes to even start to play right again.

Oh, and in other news, I hate hate hate when so-called supporters turn against their teams. I was watching the match with my parents today and I wanted to scream. When Galway were just trailing by a couple of points, 'they're doing well, this is a good side'...then in the second half 'worst Galway side in years, scandalous...sure, they're well known for sitting back' and yeah, they are but feck it, they were playing Kilkenny, it was never gonna be easy.

Anywho...3 weeks till the quarter finals now, actually cannot wait :)

Wow, that was longer than intended...

Yea I think the first half they just couldnt get Joe into it, they had him on the wing, full and midfield moving him around but they couldnt get a decent ball into him. Then 2nd half he went into his edge of the square position but Kilkenny but Tyrell and Hickey(I think?) on him so he struggled.. 2 class cuts though, even if one did drop short.
I think Galway could have won the game but... They'd have needed to be playing as well as they did in the League Final, Joe woulda have to have gotten into it more, the 3 weeks tiredness was evident and if the Kilkenny backs fouled a bit more..
And also fairness to Kilkenny thats one strong panel they have, like what other county could bring on subs as good as Aidan Fogerty, John Tennyson or Richie Hogan?! And Michael Kavanagh also on the bench..

Yee's had an off day and me thinks unless you get a really gross draw like Waterford( I kid I kid :P)
Urghh 3 weeks until quarters, then semis in August Gaa makes the summer so short :(
Ooh also your man the full back I thought had a decent game, he was involved with a good few of the clearences. But its fair to say neither team really ever got going today :/

I also didnt mean to write so much, and its written so fast there is probably numerous mistakes -_-

Well unknown and bob, looks like this limerick football team proved your predictions wrong :o But then again, they were your opinions so I can't really say that you didn't have a reason for what you thought.

Ah what can I say, another moral victory again. neutrals can say that limerick played excellent stuff today but it's not going to be any consolation to the likes of Join galvin, stephen lucey, razor, stephen kelly and all those who are aging never to see a munster medal yet. The ref was preety bad. Tomás O Sé should have seen straight red from what supposedly was a nice elbow to the face of stephen kelly. The sunday game is on now. Time to see this incident fully. Congrats to kerry :)

I presume you're referring to this post:

Let's read it again, shall we?

Did I miss something? Limerick lost, no? :p

The only game I saw Limerick win was the losing game :pac:

No? Our debate from a week or 2 ago. When you said they'd get a trashing. Ah now lads, tomás o sé should have been sent off for that foul from seeing it on tv (missed it myself at the game).
Hope the ref is ashamed of himself seeing as it could have turned the game around. And some decisions he made were ridiculous for both sides.

I would like to welcome Limerick into the qualifiers, where better footballing teams such as Dublin and Cork are currently playing.

I actually hope Dublin get Limerick if they beat Tipperary. It would be a nice trip down to Limerick and an even nicer end result.

With the way Dublin are playing, Limerick could beat ye I'd say, in fairness to them they played very well today.

But why would you travel all the way down to Limerick to watch your team lose?

Did I see someone put Dublin in the same league (or within a million leagues) as Cork?

I want some of whatever you're smoking. :P

I would happily travel to watch Dublin play. Limerick beating Dublin. Not going to happen.

EuropeanSon, i lol'd at that too. Oh unknown, I personally hope we get dublin at home too (it's usually neutral venues for the last round qualifiers though :)). Honestly, a good doing by meath and limerick in one year will make dublin a much stronger more experienced team next year. Honestly. We'll actually be doing dublin a favour :)

But putting aside the messing, unknown, you're completely underrating this limerick team. Completely. But sure, we'll see.

I am not underrating the team but we have all ireland experience, big game experience. And the final one, the experience of winning a provincial title in football. :p:p:p

Its meath and Dublin who run Leinster. You have kerry and cork.

And how does that have anything to do with qualifier round matches exactly? :P Trust me, we have enough experience of them. Lol

I love how Waterfordians say "Waherford"! I'll always remember John Mullane in an interview after a game saying "I love me county and I love Waherfurd" :P

Cork will win :P It's like old men vs. old men here. And cork will have the legs to win it out in the end with a little push from ben o connor, sean óg and co. along with the sihtload of supporters they usually bring :P

Kerry kicked the sh!t out of your sorry lot last year in your only "big game" (Leinster has been ****e for ages), at your pitch. Dublin can't perform against big teams, I don't remember the last time they did.

The "big game experience" they have is of playing ****e in them. Hardly much of an asset.

Pfftt we can put it up to them, 2nd half last 15mins we'll do our usual amazing comeback that we seem to always do lately :p
I know Im totally biased/optimistic/everything but I reallyy think we can do it, I really think this is our year! :P But I'd fancy our chances more so against Tipperary or Galway..
Still though. Bring. It. On. :pac:

I'm not. I'm a big Federer fan. I think he's losing his touch.
I'm disappointed Murray didn't win either. I'd like to see him win Wimbeldon, certainly at least once.

The average age of the Waterford team is about 26. Hardly old men

Ah yea but I'm thinking about some of the main players/big names for Waterford.
Eoin Kelly, the Prendergasts, John Mullane, Tony Browne, Dan Shanahan...

Of course they aren't all over the age of 30 like.
(not that that's old like :o)
And meh, I wasn't making the point on the basis of it being a bad match or anything. Just on basis of what team's feet/experience will pull them over the finish line in the end.

    I personally think Cork.

I forgot to put in M.PEREIRA again - couldn't load the thing last night, and gave up after not being able to change anything! Just checked and I've 6 so far!! For a team that was neglected for the first round, and the quarter finals I haven't done too badly :D
