Can't wait until Chelsea win the league tbh :)

You did not just say that...

    Yea, of course I did.
After all, I'm down with that sorta thaang.

But seriously, Chelsea supposedly just have to bate Wigan to win it.
But I've also learned from a preety reliable source that Wigan bate 'em earlier in DW (?).

What's the story with Beckford? Is he off in the summer or what?

Contract is up so will be off for free. With the attitude he's shown in last few months, good riidance to him. Ego >>>>his talent, so not worried on that count. Goals-wise yeah I would, then again, attitude of team will be better off without him.

Ah right. Yeah, he's always struck me as being quite arrogant. Becchio's a decent player, though a replacement for Beckford will probably be needed, not sure Becchio and Grella would be good enough for a promotion push.

Ah sure with any luck we'll be promoted before he goes. Hopefully Simon knows how to find some deals to get a new striker, although maybe McSheffry could do a job. Might get lad from Scunthorpe either who scores a load.

Didn't know C&H had a sport thread!! Whoo! Love the place even more now!

Anyone see what some Shamrock Rovers fans did last night??

Gary Hooper? I've seen a bit of him, looks a good player.

I've always had a soft spot for Phil Jevons (from picking Yeovil in Fifa as a kid :D), think he's with Huddersfield now, on loan at Morecambe, I've always thought he was a very good player, think he has 20-odd goals this season, got near enough to 30 when Yeovil got promoted a few years ago. But that's just the transfer romantic in me talking :p

Its tough to say cos there are still goalscorers in there with Becks.Oddly enough at end of last season, most in the Leeds section here were desperate to cling onto him, now we haven't even given it any thought. It'll work out, I don't think we'll go down immediately if promoted.

Oh God... another year, no Champions League football. *sigh*

I remember the last Dundalk-Rovers game I was at. There was a whole bus of Rovers fans who had come to Dundalk to stand outside Oriel Park and try to cause fights. I'm sure there are plenty of decent Shamrock Rovers supporters, but the minority who do this quite frankly scare me. There are nearly always riots between when they come here. It's a much more heated rivalry than that between us and Drogheda.

Feel sorry for Fulham. Now they will have to look at their neighbours Chelski get all the praise for winning something.

    Nothing new then;)

I'm more annoyed at Cardiff being 90 minutes from the Premiership now....really hope they don't get in and give that "chairman" (to be nice about it) a helping hand financially.

I felt sorry for Fulham just because they played well. Their defence was fantastic and Atletico could barely get a cross in before the one that ended it all.

Also, Danny Murphy was lurking around the edge of the box with a cramp. Had he not cramped near the end, it would have been his job to try get in the way once the full-back was beaten. Rotten luck.

    Yes, yes you are! :P

I like Atletíco as well and usually support them in Spanish competitions (Napoli in Italy! :D) but I had really hoped that Fulham could beat them just because of the fantastic job Hodgeson has done there.

Yeah, but so did Roy Keane - Keane was suspended for the 99 European final, would have been nice to see another Irishman win a European medal on the pitch!

edit: forgot O Shea with United! :o

FA Cup Final is brilliant so far!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,383 ✭✭✭Aoibheann

I think the only way to explain the current 0-0 situation is.... magic. Lucky, lucky Portsmouth. Let's just hope it holds out for another 45 minutes (then extra time, then penalties!).

    *crosses everything*

    Penalty for Portsmouth!
    and he wasted it :(

    Curse you Petr Cech!

Edit: Why only spoiler the outcome?
    :pac:

Moar edits to avoid double post:
WHHHHHHHHY?! D: I hate you, Didier Drogba, with the fiery passion of 10,000 suns.

How are you forgetting Denis Irwin? One of the greatest ever full backs. :(

The most consistent player ever. Rare had a bad game. He definitely played in Barcelona 1999
