04-08-2009 7:06pm#1Right, inspired by the very generous mrmac I just had an idea for a project!
Since there's a nice scatter of us throughout Ireland I was thinking of popping a disposable camera in a padded envelope and sending it on its merry way to someone in another county. they in turn, take a photo of something / someone /someplace that represents their County or at least of importance to them
...they in turn, pop it back into the envelope and send it on its way to another member, in another county.
At the end, we obviously get the photos developed, posted and possibly displayed somewhere (I know a few places that can sort me out)
I think it would also be a good Idea to use the same envelope as for stamps!! (like a suitcase in a nostalgic film)
People could obviously through their names up here with locations, or alternatively use the Photobuddies thread
let me know what you guys think and also your ideas. i think this would be really fun!!!

- Try and keep us informed where the camera is and where its going next
- Post the camera back to me, please

I know another group that tried this across Europe... About ten out of focus cock photos came out at the end of it... I can still remember the rant the guy that started it went off on on the Flickr group...

Whoooo there horse. I didn't know it was only for people from the county taking pics of the county. I am indeed from Dublin but I do keep a barge in W. Meath and indeed a lot of my photo are taken there as I'm there a lot. Loads of stuff on my Pix.ie is from there and of people from there. Surely that counts. Just a query,
will we be having a standard of delivery for the camera.
i.e. will the minimum standard be registered or will standard snail on a bike mail be ok.
I think standard post would be ok. Not a bad idea, but I think it would take away from it a little bit. I want this camera to survive, I want it to take a long time, I want to be willng it to arrive back at my doorstep
