Chuu (aka Simon Lau). He beat The Witch in a rather one-sided final - he lost a round in the first game but dominated from then on.

I have a fair few games vids and lots of photos! I'll post the up when I get the chance.

    Overall we performed quite well.

Personally I best my groups top postion player then made silly mistakes against two others. I'm not bummed though my core game was solid and in future I'll work on fixing the fancy stuff!!!

AnimeX, Witcher and Hmuya all made it to the second round with the Witcher making all the way ot the finals! Unfortunately the Blanka in the final turned out to be very good, but overall I think mostely we learned new things to improve our games!!!

    Great experience!

gg's all, nice to see a lot of people from out of belfast and down south to make the effort to come up, makes the tournament a lot more fun for everyone involved

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,703 ✭✭✭✭K.O.Kiki

I think I have further cemented my position as the Island's worst player though - not a single win to my name yet!
Oh well, train some more, train some more...

GGs guys, Belfast was pretty cool alright.
Grand final match should be up on youtube tomorrow (cam was a bit shaky though)

I enjoyed myself. Should probably have stuck to Rose instead of switching to Honda for the tournament.

Definitely head up again the next time you're having a tournament like this, but might get the Aircoach instead so we can stay til the end.

Did that Ryu player win 3rd Strike in the end?

    He fears my Necro!

I made it to the second round too!

Had quite a frustrating game V Simons Blanka,he beat me 2 games to 1.
I much prefere the way they did the knock out rounds with it being the best of 3 games.Maybe we should do that at the XGC tourneys but it might be too time consuming with a double elimination bracket.

I'd like to have seen Bush playing him,2 good Blankas would have been interesting.

2 out of 3 games would be ideal, if we started early i dont see why we couldnt do it too. How many was at the tourney yesterday?

Cheers to all the RoI guys who were able to make it down! I hope you guys all enjoyed yourselves and any feedback you want to give is welcome. Unfortunately I don't get too much time for socialising on the day due to having to coordinate things. Would have liked to got a chance to chat to you guys in person for a bit longer than I did.

I hope the footage of me Vs Simon's Blanka is unusable!Lost thing I want to see is me inexplicably cancelling a level 3 focus on a dizzy Blanka and whining about not teching throws.

I hope there's another one soon.

Yeah, I had that too with most of my footage of the PES UK Finals a week ago. When I recorded the split screen for the crowd, it flickered, but when I recorded the screen the players were using, it didn't - I think they were using a VGA splitter because any other HD splitter would have been really expensive. Were you recording a screen split from the main? Here: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/question336.htm

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,976 ✭✭✭✭chopperbyrne

Why didn't you just say that your buttons were wrong and have the match restarted?

You whipped that girl in the group stages.

  • Registered Users Posts: 248 ✭✭mr_kyle
