    many many years ago...

Having a friendly chat with a girl in a pub, not trying to hit on her just chatting away, I was pretty sure she was there with someone.

After a while she says, "you can be quite charming"(or maybe "you're actually quite charming" something like that) ...
My response was along the lines of, "I'm as suprised as you are! Normally I'd have said something wierd about monkeys by now and ruined everything..."
    *awkward moment*
Her, "... Yeah, that would do it"

Well you can expect lines like that if you only start flirting when you've got them in the scratcher! ;)

As above, very recently a guy who at least seemed to be flirting with me, suddenly said he didn't like sex, and none of his past girlfriends had liked to have sex with him. There was quite an awkward silence after that one.

Would ya like to practice child making tonight?

On a first date with a girl I'd drunkenly met the week before.

Striaght away she asks me questions about stuff like favorite colour, author, aspirations, etc and says herself and her flatmate had done up this quiz to see if we were compatible. (1st DATE )

Needless to say whatever answers I may have given to her the fact that I legged it speaks volumes for our compatibility.

Once I entered a party with the loud and jesting exclamation "Did someone say innuendo??", upon which time a woman who I later got to know a little better looked me up and down and said with a wink "Or maybe in my endo later on if you're lucky."

    I'd say that really happened.

A friend of mine met some young one in a bar in Greece and brought her down to the beach for a ride. When they got there she mumbled to him "Are you positive?", to which he replied "Yeah. Of course I am."

He only copped on later that she was asking him if he was HIV positive.
