haha...i left the day that i got the phonecall!! i wasted no time! it was the worst job ever and i wasn't even expecting the phonecall but when i got home that evening, i just thought to myself "i am not going to go to work tomorrow...i am going to take a break for a month or so" lol...so now i am going to enjoy myself and do whatever i have to do (or want to do!)

Hi everyone. First posting but have been reading for a while.

I'm in and I'll see you all at GV for the August intake.

For info, I think my merit was somewhere in the 330 region and I'm non-RC male. This was my first application to join. Had all but given up and was hoping to do better on this year's application (still waiting to hear how I did at the Role Play stage). Got the call on the same Tuesday as most of you.

Self employed so no need to give notice. I'll just stop doing it. Wasn't going very well anyway.

I'm also an "older" recruit. So cacking myself about my overall fitness compared to 20yr olds. Need to get some decent running shoes and get out there. Any advice on what I should get? I Assume shoes are not included in the £120 gym kit.

dont worry about it. im only 19 haha. nah seriously though. ive only really started my fitness regime! im going out again tomorrow morning for my next run. just get up and get some general fitness and you will be fine! and oh, congrats see you at the SID

Also what's the craic with references???? I don't recall puting references downonmy application,t'was so long ago.

no i am not that silly! my reference was a place i was for 4 and a half years! that other job was just an inbetweener until i got something that i really wanted and i was there less than a month and they say if you want to leave before you have been working there a month, that you don't have to give any notice...so i made the most of the opportunity! wayhey!
ps. this august crew is really starting to build up! gona be a good little squad...I can tell already!
