Reggie I notice that you have taken the mower off with the flotation chain still on, we normally take it off but I’m not sure if that’s right or wrong

Never take it off here. Just put the spool in the float position

Not farming related, but today's guntering. Won't be chasing the gazebo around the garden all summer any more.

Built a set of lights for the mower a few weeks ago. Kverneland wanted €380 but I'm too mane to pay that. Cost about €80

sad to see in this day and age that safety items are still considered as extras rather than necessities by manufacturers.

Silage pusher to speed life up.

    Materials < €100

    Time - about a day

Ended up going with Option C, would have preferred B but Metal supplier didn't have correct materials to hand.

A double (i.e. tyre each side) would probably have negated the need to build a stand.

Broke this pipe connector on my Jarmet sprayer today. I'm wondering how to open this fitting to release the old part.

Does it pull out? Obviously removing what's on the opposite end? Nuts?

No nuts at all. Probably pull it out but afraid of doing more damage.

As LC said you have to get that U clip up, then it should just pull out. Be careful how you pry the clip out though. Don't lever it off plastic. If you could get a vise grips on it and pull up while supporting the plastic.

Got the clip out easy enough but taking out the broken fitting inside was an awful job. Think I damaged the O ring on the fitting as it was leaking out of the fitting when I took it spraying this evening

Yeah probably just the seal. Was the old seal not on the bit that broke?
Did u get a new seal with the new piece u bought?

Don't know much about that sprayer, just guessing.
If twas me and couldn't figure it, I'd open another one to see how and where seal is supposed to sit.

The old seal was on the bit that broke above the clip fitting. Will buy a new seal as the old one had a close shave with a hacksaw blade in its removal.

Yeah that he problem. New seal will solve it l bet. Rub some washing up liquid around the new seal before inserting and should make it easier to slide into position without damaging it

Anyone ever tried to get a steering wheel off a MF 35 tractor without the right tool?
This work. Welded a T section of box iron. 3 U bolts for a car trailer across the three spokes of the wheel..and down on the centre steering shaft.
Apply pressure by tightening the nuts slowly and evenly..
Hope for a pop.. and it did work!
I'll find a job for the bolts later..
The welding on the other side is much better! Damp rods:)

I'd love to be able to think of these types of hacks when caught at jobs like that.
