Right I dunno what project thing your talking about :D

I know I handed up sections a and b ages ago and I won't bring anything tomorrow!!

I think the myths are almost the exact same tbh, a friend is talking about using the persophene classics myth as another creation myth.

If your worried the book version is simple..

Prom steals fire with the help of Athena

Zeus offers Prom's brother some absolute phittie called Pandora to make Prom Jealous.

Prom's brother refused Pandora, cause she was kinda jailbait.

Zeus got real pissed and chained prom to a pillar and sent a ****ing eagle to eat his liver.

Prom's brother (Epimetheus) thought, damn better bang the jailbait...

Pandora was a silly little girl (is there any other kind of girl?) and opened the box with all the worlds evil in it.

Zeus then suppressed the mankind Prometheus had made so great.

    (Sequel, Prometheus Unbound)

Herc goes and talks to Atlas, Atlas makes herc hold the heaven up for a while, but it was pretty heavy, so herc gave it back... (I dunno why heaven is so heavy if it doesn't exist)

So then Herculeas comes along and ****ing roundhouse kicks those adamantine chains so Prometheus can get away (Cause Herculese is chuck norris)

Atlas gets turned to stone later for being a nice guy, thus doesn't need to hold pup heaven anymore..

Thanks, makes it a bit easier.

Ok the project things - did you do an actual project, like in a scrapbook or something, and then for sections a and b in the booklet take your information from your original project? if that makes sense?

thats what we had to do, and apparently the original project that you did has to be available for inspection in the school. Did anyone else have to do this?

    No.

We had a booklet, section A we talked about ****, then section B we talked about what section A had taught us. It was all very easy.

I've been doing religion for 2 years (im repeating) and I've never heard of the department coming in to inspect your original project and I'd strongly doubt they ever would. It's such an obscure subject and you could easily make up an adequate excuse such as you lost it or your under stressed and forgot it etc, theyre not going to be like 'ok we'r going to accompany you to your home to get it and then you will sit your exam under our surveilance in the hour'. Lets be honest, religion teachers are usually nice, religous people with compassion and empathy. Nobodys going to load down on you because you don't have it, they understand the stress your under.

yeah it was very easy - hmm, strange - our teacher was adament that it had to be done from an original project thing.

I remember seeing it on the ress website before I think, but its down atm.

lets just hope that either my teacher is wrong or neither of our schools get inspected!

She said its like the science experiments hardbacks, that they must be present in the school for inspection over the summer.

Oh dear God, mine is nothing like that - and she particularly dislikes me too. I have no doubt that she will say something to be about it just before I walk into the exam.

Mine is the most amazing lad in the world, he doesn't believe any of it, he just jokes around. I'm not in the class but I hear its unreal.

I came up to him at Christmas and asked him did he think I could do well in the course in 6 months, he said yeah easily, when do you wanna start? I said... February.

He is under no illusion over how easy this is, and honestly Lorna, you do classical studies, this should be easy for you!!

I'm pretty sure you dont actually have to do a project for LC religion (JC, yes, LC, no) but you just have to research it and whatnot. That said, I have all the files saved on my laptop, and I wont delete them until results, because I really dont think my teacher knows what he's at!

Yes you do, its worth 20%. You could not to it and go into the exam 20% down.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,600 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

But that wouldn't be a very good idea. The average mark for it is 75% so your looking at 15% in the bag already gentlemen. Which means you need just over 30 on this paper tomorrow to achieve your pass. (Thats 30% of the 80 on offer, not the full hundred)

    Banterous really.

re: The Bible according to /b/

errlloyd, if we get a gaggle of nuns signing up to boards to troll LC because of that, I am going to hunt you down in Trinity next year and hang you from the Campanile by the ba toes!! :p

/b/ have better things to be doing like spamming youtube with porn and other honourable causes. My effort was simply to try and help people remember the story by portraying it in a humourous light.

Anyway haven't we already established I won't get the points for Trinity?

(Btw folks, there is a religion versus science leviathan on in Trinity on the first of July, basically a tv reporter from the BBC will host a live show, a panel of comedians or experts in the field (usually both) will take the floor and you get to smash them questions. Its in the science gallery RE students should defo attend anyone who wants to punch me in the face can too)

most people in the class thought it wasnt a great paper, I really liked it - hopefully I'll get an a1/a2.

at least your darwin came up.. thought the q in ritual symbol and worship was fab, though if you hadn't studied it you would have come a right cropper.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,600 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

I was grand, should still be on for an A2 or so, but how dirty was the silly question on world religions. I knew literally everything else about Buddhism.
