Personally I would favour option 1 as there are more exercises to chose from, so it might hit muscles from a different angle as you alternate (which can only be a good thing IMO) and also the changes might make the workouts seem a little less boring. You have a (r) after deadlifting, is this a typo? Again personally I love dead lifting, so it would never be a rotated exercise for me. So I would have no problem alternating between front and back squats, but O/H presses and dead lifts would remain constant.

    (r) after Deadlifting is right. I'l always do OHP, but sometimes I leave out DL and do squats (both varis) only. I'm leaning towards option 1, mostly because it allows more flexibility. If the rake is taken, or don't feel like X or Y on a certain day etc.
Plus I'd rather keep DLs and squats together when cardio is involved and be able to get some KMs in on upper body day.

Spotted a row of chinup bars in kilbogget park yesterday, must be seapoint rugby clubs (cabinteely GAA also are based there). They are welded onto the side of a 40ft shipping container, you could probably have a full rugby team on them.

You can see the area on google maps in the link below, the containers are under the trees on the top left. There is also a good railing forming a V shape that you can do dips on near the row of cars at the top centre. And you can see the playground which you could go to at night or early morning. There are 2 or 3 basketball nets around the buildings too.

    http://maps.google.com/maps?q=kilbogget+park+dublin&hl=en&ll=53.259006,-6.138597&spn=0.000613,0.001742&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=52.637906,114.169922&t=h&z=20

There is a gravelly running track in the park and they have now painted lane lines on it. And there is a new low fenced football pitch beside the playground which is not shown on maps.

If you have kids further northwest in the park they have done up the river which now has lots of ducks.

His squats aren't down, his bench shirt sleeves are covering his elbows and his DL wasn't locked out.

    Pretty good otherwise tho.

Probably wont be huge interest in this. But its a lecture about how to break down a sport and design conditioning programs for that sport, with ice hockey being used as an example.

    Are bench shirts
    • Supposed to be closed at the back
    • Supposed to be open at the back
    • Do they just not come in a suitable size for this guy

    1) Sometimes
    2) Sometimes
    3) That one fits

Different feds have different rules in relation to:
    • open/closed back
    • number of layers of material
    • type of material
    • how the shirt can be worn

Depends on the federation - most single ply feds, they need to be closed, multi-ply they can be open. I think the reason for having an open backed shirt is that they are easier to adjust, and you can set them lower to get more carryover. I'd also imagine it would be fairly impossible to get a 2-3 ply shirt on properly

In the SPF you can pretty much wear anythhing

    Bingo. On all counts.

In the SPF you just need to do something loosely resembles a competition lift with more weight than anyone else has used for an 'all time record'. Cos it's the strongest fed, ya know.

Is the judging getting looser with these feds or has it always been that way? Im wondering will some hick fed start letting lifters get away with spotting?

For the bench in that last vid, is it just me, or did the judge give the all clear before he had it locked out? Looked like it wasn't fully up before the guys lifted it into the rack

I'm not down with a lot of the PL stuff on here but his squat stance seems very wide to me. Is there any reason for this or is it just preference?

    Shorter range of motion.
And better use of the suit.

There is probably something to the use of more stretch reflex, but I'm not sure its that valid in a million ply suit.

    As I understand it.
