Just saying that the spoiler you quoted was the kind of stuff that happened on a drama back in the eighties (yes I am showing my age:o) called "Prisoner cell block H"which was set in a prison in Aussie or New Zealand,(Mate).That kind of stuff is a little off the mark for Corrie, me thinks:P.

That woman can't do a north of england accent to save her life. Her rendition is the equivalent of Tom Cruise's Oirish accent in Far and Away

I really don't like Stella and her family. I read an article that stated that she is close friends with Phil Collinson, the producer and that is why she got the job.

Corrie is really the worst I can ever remember it being:
- Fiz brooding around the place while her husband miraciously survived a fall off a five story building
- Becky and Steve - they're on, they're off etc.
- Stella and the new family who do not fit into the street at all
- Sunita's aunts - what was the point of that?

and then corrie has a tendency to start storylines and not finish them
e.g. Steve owing Lloyd a load of money, it was being mentioned in nearly every episode and now it's been forgotten about.
Sally and Kevin were at each other's throats for ages and now they're getting on
We don't know what purpose Tommy Duckworth serves, along with the doctor who has been in about 10 episodes without doing or saying much.

I felt sorry for Corrie not winning the best soap of the year over Eastenders but if this drivel is the best they can come up with then I'm not surprised.

I could; it was thirty years ago. Karl seems a Les clone as well. Also who knows what Stella was like back then. If it's a case of mother like daughter; well Leanne has been with plenty unsuitable men into the now respected member of the community.

The Sun reports that Stape bursts into court during wife Fiz' (Jennie McAlpine) triple murder trial and says that he killed Colin and Joy Fishwick and Charlotte Hoyle.

The paper says that fans will discover that following his escape from police Stape fled to Ireland, where he was sleeping rough and following Fiz' trial in the papers.

A source said: "It will be a real shock for fans when John arrives in the nick of time.

"Bosses are hoping it will be one of those classic moments in television when he returns to clear his wife's name."
The scenes are due to be screened in October.

She goes to prison on remand before the trial, like Gail did. She's out on bail now, for the charges the police have currently pressed, but afaik they will charge her with being involved in Joy's killing too and she won't be given bail then.

Maybe it's just cos I was doing detective work whilst watching it trying to figure out Stella's secret, but I knew by her reaction when

Leanne was mentioned and when she was in the pub that it was her mother.

I'm actually quite proud of myself now

I never watched Eastenders, so I wouldn't have known Stella in it, but she just seems like a real EastEnders character(whatever that is), none of them fit in the street at all! And where is the daughter staying? How many bedrooms can the Rovers have?

is her daughter.How ever it comes to light, we'll have to see.Possibly was her plan to come to the street to be "reunited" with her.I don't know why I am putting up a spoiler cause I am sure everyone knows at this stage anyhow:rolleyes:

I find this whole 'new bar manager' storyline preposterous. Feck sake! Why would Steve possibly need a new bar manager?! They've more people behind the bar than in front of it ffs!

She's got a good screen presence has Stella imo..though whoever plays her daughter is totally unsuited to the role. She looks too old to play the immature childish character she's playing. Leanne too, looks more like Stella's sister, unless the former was only about 14 when she had her. Oh...and Eva is far too 'nasty'...in the way Tracy is. A half decent actress should show emotion in her eyes not in exaggerated facial expressions.

I was wondering the same thing, considering Steve is supposed to owe a fortune to Lloyd and he wasted thousands on trying to buy that kid off Kylie, he then turns around and hires a bar manager!! :rolleyes:

Also, Cindy Beale's Northern accent is complete and utter crap. Yet another example of an "actress" whose range is completely limited.

This is how Stella's secret comes out.....

As Peter makes plans for Leanne's 30th, Stella suggests she organises a party in The Rovers. But when she leaves her purse in the bookies, Peter makes a startling discovery.

Confronting Stella, he demands to know what's going on. As Stella opens up, Peter's floored by her shock confession…

I wonder will Peter tell her? Or will e leave it to Stella?

Someone pointed out here a while back when it was first revealed that Liz was leaving that while Steve and Becky could own the pub, they could not be the landlord or landlady, something to do with both having convictions against their names.

Just read this in the paper, not a huge loss to the show

The three of them are being written out after Chris develops a brain tumour. He begs Cheryl to go with him to a specialist consultant - who confirms Chris has a tumour on his brain and it's too late for surgery. Chris sobs to Cheryl: "Why me? I'm too young to die." It makes her realise she still has strong feelings for him - and she decides to nurse him to the end. After Chris discovers the extent of his illness he dumps girlfriend Maria Connor (Samia Smith) and goes back to Cheryl. Soon afterwards Chris, Cheryl and Russ leave the street for good.

HAd to think who they were. That should back up what you say about been missed.
