im thinking it may be best to leave the tips till after xmas/boxing day, since it looks like they are forced to pick from races they dont want too due to abandonments

I think the problem is in the staking. Almost every bet is staked at 1 point with a 2 pointer once or twice a month. There is no indication as to how strongly the horse is fancied by the tipster.

Mighty Moose in the 2.40 at Fos Las is the mover on RP most backed. 8s to 5.5 on PP

Into 5.7 on betfair and 2.5 a place. It was layed for about 20k but only 2k of that was matched at 8/1 up to 10/1.

Its quite shocking whats happened to the picking on this thread. From a steady stream of win, win/place, even wins doubles to absolute desolation.

Wonder if it has anything to do with the real Flat season compared to NH. Anyone have the stats for previous years between the two forms?

If it wasnt for Tom Segal the Racing Post would be really struggling as far as tipping in concerned. You could leave all the tips except Tom Segals Pricewise Extra Selections, where he has extra time on the day of the race to check the going and non runners etc. Andrew Barr gets a few but over the last 3 months its all been Segal.

A look at the movers and shakers on the RP site and PP suggets, Don Pele 1.55 Southwell and Altos Reales 2.25 Southwell.

This could be fun - Hugh Taylor has his two picks in the same races!

Maybe the punters have finally run out of money?

    Run out of faith?

The total market in the 1.55 is 45k at the minute. The fav has been layed for 14k and Desert Dust has been layed for about 10k.

I ran out of faith with the weekday selections a good while ago thankfully. Andrew Barr is the only one who seems to get any winners. Colliers is a disaster and the figures of 3 winners from 43 selections should be enough to put anyone off.
