I'm sorry to say I won't be able to start for a few weeks, I'm swamped with exams. I'm finished on the 17th, so I'd love to do a weekly set then. I'll slot into whatever times are free then.

Was just looking there aswell, the youtube page. Is that going to be updated a more aswell? Its handy for people to subscribe to and it wouldn't be too hard for people to video record some of their mix to post up on the page.

Hey, I'm starting the radioshow again in a couple of minutes, you can listen here: http://radiokitchensync.com/ It takes a few seconds to load. Today I have some brilliant music, a few tracks from Tony Lionni's accurately entitled Timeless EP, a fantastic remix of the xx's VCR by the Fine line, more deep techno by Radio Slave, Tom Trago & Echologist, Hip Hop by Maino and a few other bits and bops. Enjoy!

Listened in for a while there - Hector playing some nice sounds.

Chat window was fine, though player on the site wouldn't load for me - Hectorjelly gave me another link to listen from which worked

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,607 ✭✭✭VinylJunkie

Cool I will look into that

I'm on the radio again today at 2pm.

I'll be starting with hip hop by Aloe Blacc, I need a dollar; released this year its the theme song for How to Make it in America, a new HBO show set in NY. Its a great song and fit's the show perfectly. After that I have tracks from Four Tet and Ellen Alliens new albums. Both albums are good, although Ellen's new LP is a little dissapointing.

After that I have a new Todge Terje Edit, Simple things. He did one of my favorite re-edits of last year, Chic - I want your love. (He is playing tonight in the button factory with Prins Thomas) This isn't quite as good but its still great. Then I have some new house and techno by Michel Cleis, Oliver Huntemann, Ben Simms, Uto Karem, Riva Starr and Marco Bailey. I'll be finishing with Babel by Massive Attack, my favorite track from their new album. Enjoy!

I'm all finished for the summer, so I'd be able to start sometime soon, if there's still a slot for some house a la this.

Is there a little run through of how to set it up somewhere?

Hey, this is starting now. I have a very different collection of songs this week, if all goes to plan there won't be a beat for the first 30mins! I came across an acoustic guitar version of Rhubarb by Aphex twin, I liked it but it was missing something, so I tried mixing it with the original. Thankfully the cover was recorded to the exact time so it was easy to do, I think it works quite well. The next 55 mins will contain modern classical music by Nils Økland, Steve Reich, Philip Glass & Autechre, and also some new lo fi electronica from Owen Pallet, Walls & Four Tet, Dubstep by Scuba (who played last night at Salt in the twisted pepper) and I will finish up with some new LCD Soundsystem and very old Phil Collins - enjoy!

The LCD Soundsystem album is a bit disapointing, it grew on me a little, but its nothing compared to its predeccesor. Somewhere in the mix i'll drop in Water from the Same Source by Rachel's; its from 2003 but I heard it first at the end of Donnacha Costello's fantastic ambient bodytonic podcast.

Only seen this now. Was wondering could there be some sort of way of highlighting before hand when someone is going to go on live. It seemed that even with the schedule available people still missed sets from the last time this happened.

Also its been rather quiet aswell, are there more people going to be doing a few sets over the next couple of weeks?

I'm on the radio again today, from 2 - 3 pm. This week I'll be playing two more songs from Four Tets album, there is love in you. Its really a fantastic album. Caribou and Kaito also both released albums recently, they are not in the same league as Four Tet, but both worth a listen. I'll be playing my favorite song from both albums, Sun & It happens suddenly respectively.

To fill in the gaps I'll have recent releases from Donnacha Costello & Ellen Alien, two recent Todd Terje remixes (From his excellent Remaster of the Universe Album) and some not so recent music from Rachel's, Serge Gainsbourg, Aphex twin and Massive Attack. Enjoy!
