There's much better things to be doing all night.

    EDIT: Ugh...

I'll be there, should be interesting! Social awkwardness ahoy :p!

I propose that you fake-sneeze 'agnostic' when you think you spy a fellow boarder. If you're correct you should get the fake-sneeze reply 'atheist'. This should be followed by non-chalantly observing to the sneezer 'Quiet here ... Are you Board?' ... the response to which should be 'I don't know and neither do you'. At this point internet identities can be exchanged and you can hug.

Its the internets, it'll happen only if you include some bloke called Derek in a dress telling people not to stare at him 'cos he's a lady as one.

I see. I thought that was a Tuesday night actually.

    Might have been

Now we've all heard the tale of the guy who went to his first 'beers' and approached a group of people asking, "Are you from the internet?". They replied yes so he joined them. 'Twas not 'til later that he discovered taht they were in fact swingers.

For spotting us' sake I'll bring a toy dinosaur (or rhino depending on your world view).

Friday night might be a bit of a hoor, but if we're going get a seat anywhere it's likely to be the Duke. Besides getting seats in a pub is rooted in Natural Selection, and some of us know a thing or two about that. :D

I reckon a compromise between Myksyk's sekret password and Galvasean's rhino might work.

And I for one am looking forward to being able to curse to you lot. It'll be nice not to have the swear filter or a charter!

Social Darwinism - the best way to get your way in the irish pub/club scene!

I reckon we should send a scouting party in early to get seats.

Or to wake up the next morning and rapidly edit some beer-fuelled comments from the previous evening.

What about a life-size, inflatable Charles Darwin? Somebody must be selling them this year.

We could all wear Santa Claus beards, a la Charles D., a butterfly net in hand and you won't know the difference.

So will there be anyone there who has reached the age of Christ? (33, not 2000) And shout out if you are a woman. I won't be very enthusiastic if I'm the only one.

    Hrmm, could be fun!

Will have to check with the boss first though :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,371 ✭✭✭✭Zillah

Won't be any trouble getting seats at half eight!

I made it past that milestone last year. :)

Can't help you there, but rest assured anyone can still participate in atheistic ceremonies regardless of gender!

I'll not be in Ireland. A pity, I would have liked to attend this one!

I already know what Robin and Galvasean look like so I'm sorted. :)

    Agonist,
I can't remember what it was like to be the age of Christ :(
There is also a high possibility that I may not be of the male gender...

Not sure I'd like to show up in a city-center pub with a fake beard and a butterfly net.

    It would invite trouble.
