Dunnes stores own brand shorties. They were much nicer when I was small they were bigger and had a diamond shape on them but I seem to be the only one that remembers them being like this so it could have been a dream?

You cant beat a chocolate polo either!

Cafe Noir, or Walkers shortbread fingers. Mmm.

Does anyone know the Lidl shortbread, a very generous packet for a ridiculously cheap 89c (a bit dearer now). That beats McDougalls, or McScottish (or whatever) which are around a tenner a gram. They really have the characteristics of class A drugs - dangerously moreish and outrageously expensive.

Actually the previous poster said what they we're called: Walkers.

    More like W@nkers.

Why are they w@nkers? EDIT: Ah yes I see, but they ARE the tastiest!

That's great about the other brand though. Must check them out.

the best tea biscuits EVER were coconut crumble creams from Dunnes Stores, they were just the nicest nicest things and then they stopped doing them one day without warning :(

I still sometimes stand for ages in the biscuit section scanning through every pack to see if they maybe decided to bring them back - but so far - hasn't happened!!!

Daisy, I too love coconut crumble creams and miss them sorely:( however for a close 2nd try Fox's nice (coconut sandwich)creams.Dunnes have them sometimes. I passionately love choc mallows when there's jam in them. Choc kimberlies mmmm! Not biccies as such but for sheer scrumminess - Mr Kipling's french fancies- I could eat a whole box.

Has to be ginger nuts or those lincolns smeared with dairy gold. I didn't have ready access to real butter.
I think overly luxurious biscuits are out because there has to be a fine balance between the cleansing effect of perfect hot tea and the dry crunchy sweetness (and salt of butter) of the biscuit.

    Just my thoughts!

damit I have cravings for tea and biscuits now but I'm out of milk and biscuits. favourite with tea has to be a cookie. Also love pink wafers but they're not too good for dipping.

why oh why cant you pay kids off the road to go to the shop for ya these days... damit damit damit

TimTams. An import from Australia I believe. They are a little like a penguins but less dense and thats important for there is a ritual to eating them.
    1: Unwrap the biscuit
    2: Bite off a corner
3: Bite off the furtherest corner from the first leaving the maximum amount of biscuit between the two nibbled corners
4: Dip one nibbled corner into a cup of hot tea.
5: Suck the tea THROUGH the biscuit like a straw.
6: Eat biscuit...quickly before it disintergrates

    (Slurpy)Nyom

Meh, they taste like they should be an own-brand version of a penguin.

Straw thing works with penguins too.
