you can get a brand new lawn mower with a bridge and stratton engine for like 100 euro in September, madness looking for 50 quid for that old piece of ****.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,347 ✭✭✭si_guru

    7k? he can't be serious

    7k? he can't be serious

I'd be abit worried he has over boosted that thing...150bhp? Surely thats excessive for a 1.9TDi? No mention of mileage either... It's not even that clean, it's scruffy inside. Even if it were spotless and factory standard 4k would probably make more sense.

There were some versions of the 1.9TDi with 110 KW (around 147 bhp) but AFAIK kind of rare.

Bora Sport (UK spec) had 150bhp as did GT TDi.. AFAIK.

IBiza Cupra had 162bhp with that engine. All Standard

I had a Vectra 1.9CDTi remapped with 205bhp.. the VW can be mapped easily to 190 and as far as 240 whilst being useable and (with care) reliable.

e36 316 for 3,200.. This car has been up for bloody ages. He needs to knock 50% of that to get some interest.

    LOL!
The replacement steering wheel looks like it has more than 100K on it. God knows what the rest of it has done.

    Jakers! Where to start?
    M3 Replica!!??
    Stunning little SPORTS car?
Why do the photos appear to show a 316 then?
Long NCT? It's out next month.

On a more serious note. It does look a clean example so if it all checked out, and it got a fresh NCT, with the good tyres (provided they're not Korean widowmakers) and a few months tax, maybe a grand off the price would shift it.

And the guy who drives it tears around in it. Came flat out towards me yesterday down a hill where there were cars parked on his side of the road so that he'd be able to get to the junction 3 seconds faster, music blaring, crappy aftermarket HID kid dazzling.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,668 ✭✭✭mondeo

I love the excuse "I don't have time to get it ready for nct" obviously it's got issues..

I really hate the excuses people use to sell a car with no nct on it. "nct ready" "ready to pass nct" "will fly the test". All the above just screams junker with no hope of passing.
