I'm afraid my thoughts on Pepe would get me banned.

    Horrible.

Is he constantly this bad or is it amped up for these games?

Not that he's bad, but he has no issue kicking players all over the pitch but if you touch him he goes down all the time.

    Varane is class though.

How many times over the last four years has Valdes provided those crucial saves for Barca? Also, is it just me or is Alexis wearing a smaller size of shorts than the rest of the Barca players?

    2-1 Ramos.

    Great Header Ramos.

Don't know how Real got the free kick that lead to the corner, though it was a foul on Alexis, and the finger in the eye was completly accidental, but that was a class finish.

Real have been the better side....Barca needs Titos guidance back on the sidelines

So glad Pepe didn't score there.

Like a pantomime. Ronaldo's already one of the best players in the world, why does he have to dive so much?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,912 ✭✭✭SeantheMan

Possibly the worst team in elite european football at taking and defeding corners :(

    Stonewall penalty there.

I thought there was no contact even though he had the leg stuck out but took it back before adriano got there but i have seen them been given ...Valdes sent off for arguing after the final whistle

Ramos almost turned from hero to villain.
Barca won't want to face Milan for another two months!
    Can they turn it around?

    Same old problems haunting Barca.

I am so sorry for calling for a Thiago start, he was by and far the sloppiest player on the pitch.

Robbed of a penalty but this Barcelona team used to pride itself in out playing teams, it's been a while since we out played Madrid

Hoping Xavi and Villa will be ready for the AC game. It's going to be our biggest task yet this season and we need our star players on form, now!

    Taken from eursport live cast
"Ramos is smiling as he walks off, he scored the winning goal and got away with it when he brought Adriano down in the box right at the death."
    Makes me sad :(

You could see Roura trying to provide more of a presence on the side line for the first time, he did try change the line out a little but some of his substitutions were bizarre. It'd be nice to see Villa play more central for a change.

As for Sanchez, the chap seems to care more about his image than goal scoring.
    A player like Eto'o wouldn't be a bad thing now :(

Varane, what a player. Will be in the world XI next year, he's an amazing athlete, what Barca wouldn't give to have a young Central defender like him.
There is Bartra but he's not in the same league,....and who was the other young centre half we brought through last year or the year before...can't recall his name now for the life of me, and he doesn't show up on the First team or B team squad lists.

Just came to me : Fontas ! , he was great ..gotta go check up where he is now (on loan to RCD Mallorca it seems)

Yup, sadly he's not in Varanes league either :/

2-0 down. horrendous form and performances. cant keep a clean sheet.....i just dont see a way for barca to overcome milan. im 100% sure milan will score and i just dont see barca scoring over 2 goals let alone 4:(

    1-0 Benzema.

Great ball from Moratta. Dani Alves was poor.

Poor, he was atrocious. Terrible defending. I mean is is to much to ask for him to at least stick a leg out to block the ball.

I think he forgets as a full-back his first job is to defend.

He's sensational. He gave away one free-kick in three clasicos. 1 free kick playing as a centre-back against Messi and Iniesta, who without looking at the stats must be amongst the most fouled players in La Liga. He scored two goals. I can't recall him making a single mistake.

And he's only 19! It's scary just how good he already is and how good he can become. So annoying that United had him all but signed until Florentino whipped out the chequebook at the last minute.

Very disappointing display again on Saturday. I never felt at any stage that Barca were going to win this game. The teams looks jaded and devoid of ideas. The squad, as evidenced by the subs, is pretty thread bare.

Thiago had an absolute nothing game. Mascherano was not much either. Pedro and Villa did the sum total of fúck all. Sanchez should not have come off the bench.

It is just as well the lead has been build up as I can see this team dropping a lot ore points when they travel to Atletico, Espanyol and Betis.

One thing the last 2 weeks have proven is that every team needs a manger. Barca need Tito back immediately.

"Luckily" the next game is at home to a pretty hapless Depor. Hopefully the confidence can be brought back up ahead of the Milan game.

Thankfully for Barca they have some seriously easy league matches coming up, and poor Depor are going to get hammered I feel. If Atleti had won last night and Barca were away this weekend things could have become seriously interesting, but alas it was not to be.

It'd be nice if you guys could lose in the Calderon though!

They've already won at Betis, 1-2 just before Christmas...

When is Tito due back? End of this month or next?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭miralize

Valdes is out for 4 matches and we have a very 2nd string team out tonight to rest for Tuesday. Should be interesting!

    But with Puyol playing..

I guess it's a posthumous tribute behind the goal in the Boixos Nois section?

Thiago played well there, and so far the team looks like scoring evenually

Thiago really is a sublime player, another gem from La Masia.

Tello seems to be getting better all the time too.

Great keeping from Depor keeper. Villa should have at least 1 goal
