looks to be a pretty decent camera in your phone.
    Was that taken from Killeshin?

My guess is they were taken from adjacent to the Grotto in Rossmore or else from the grounds of Oisín House.

Some of my better attempts. Not claiming to be brilliant, but I think they're decent.

All three of my photos were taken from the same location, on the road between Ballinabranna and Rossmore, with the camera aimed in different directions.
The wind turbines are near Hackett's Town.
As for the ruined manor house, you are not the first to ask! Here is a copy of a pm I sent explaining about it:
It's Clogrennane House, former home of the gentry Rochfort family, namely Horace Rochfort.
It can be accessed from a lane on the right hand side of the road on the back road out to Leighlinbridge.
The house is odd, in that the front is actually at the back. The picture I took was taken from a point on the top road on the way up to Rossmore. It was taken with a borrowed camera and zoom lens. I've never been up close or had the privelege of investigating the ruin.
Speaking to an elderly neighbour, he states that the house was occupied until the 20's when it was burned to the ground by the IRA during war times.
Indeed, if you are to look up at the hill from down below, you will spot a yelloy painted house quite prominently on the hill. This was formerly an IRA base.
If you're into old ruined manor houses, there's a excellent website I came across that's well worth a look.

    Dave.

I've been in it quite a few times. there used to be an old underground passageway which was said to led all the way back
upto clogrennane, when we only managed to get about 50ft into it caused its completely blocked up now. cant remember the story why but locals blocked it up a good while back ~20 or more years ago.

Can it be accessed or would permission be required from the landowner to visit the site?

    PM reply if necessary...

I can make an enquiry for you tomorrow. If I don't know the landowner I know his neighbour and he'll put me straight. Probably wont be online tomorrow until nighttime so bear with me.

Was there a few times as a kid.
There's a tunnel starting in the field at the front (back) of the house.
It heads in the direction of the house, but can't be found in the house.
Word had it at the time that it finished up Killeshin.
Other story was it finished at the drinks factory in Graiguecullen
Lovely house, would be class to renovate.. lovely entrance at back (front)

Great Photos ! They are so good that I am thinking of giving up my attempt to take photos in the area.

The photo of Rudkins' Mill is particularly beautiful as is the photo of The Barrow Bridge near Slyguff Lock.

    Many thanks to all involved!
