    I find txt speek annoys me a lot more. If I want to avoid X-Factor I just don't read tabloids or turn on the television. Unfortunately every time I go to Boards I see people lazily using abbreviations like y, d and ur.

    mid 90's metal was ****in savage, i prefer the more things change though, that album has special meaning to me woo 97 :cool:

    Co-incidentally I was listening to Through the Ashes of Empires recently in work. I don't know why but I had dismissed it as pretty average. Based on the opening track alone, I was very wrong :).

    Immortal's new album's alright, not a big fan of black metal.

    It is most certainly grim and frostbitten though.

    Hmmm, I just found out that Oomph! have released an album where they've re-recorded a load of their songs in English. Been listening to some of it on youtube, and some of the songs have really lost a lot in translation, they just sound a lot better in German. Some of the lyrics have been completely changed, like the English version of Augen Auf! is now Ready or Not, and the chorus just sounds awful. For example:

    The new Immortal album still hasn't grabbed me just yet as I've only given thrown it on in the back ground while I've been doing whatever else. At first listen it doesn't seem to have the "Umph !" of Sons of Northern Darkness or Damned in Black, At The Heart of Winter etc.

    Also, I can't wait for Immortal at Wacken, it's going to be brilliant !

    Yeah I think Augen Auf sounds pretty gay but I think Sex hat Keine Macht sounds unreal on the new album.

    And they are recording a new studio album. :D
