Hi, I don't know what my exchange is - I'm in 046 902 and I don't know how I can help you (will get to reading the 7 previous pages but not right now - work!) but if I help you maybe you can help me - don't know how though!
What do you need to find out about meath - monktown/walterstown
area? I have shared phone line (I'm told) and unable to get broadband on it. Two new houses built on my road recently and new line put in for them - some neighbours got broadband lines upgraded then and so now have broadband but there was only limited availability and I didn't get it. Applied now for RBS. Map they sent me to pinpoint house wrong - not OSI map.

Killashee does exist. eircom use two l's and call it Killashee.

If you look along the path north of the school you will see some Dishes up on a pole, wander over and there it is. It has DSL installed they claim.

I have most of the data I need now.

The only outstanding exchanges I need data for are:

ADAMSTOWN STRATTON GROVE ASG need location please
CARNEY Cabinet Sligo , did this ever go in ??
GORTNAHOE GUE Laois , need location please.
GPO DUBLIN GPO , is there an exchange in there or not or a switchboard ?
LISSAVAIRD Cork, did this go in yet or was it abandoned??
PHOENIX PARK Dublin, is there an exchange in there or not?
ROUNDWOOD ROW Laois, need location please.

Apart from those all the rest have been located and checked, even the Suncroft exchange in Kildare which is dead cute looking .....and DSL enabled :) . Information gratefully received as always.

Hi SpongeBob, After suffering a 1MB connection for ages I have just found out about the cabinets and the need to live close to one to get a decent service!

From reading this thread and your last post you nearly have all the data. I am unsure how I can find the locations in my area, is there a central page where you have collected all the data?

Oh, okay. Terrible service for sure, I'm relying on 02 mobile at the moment! Wish the Gov't would get it's finger out! :)

Absolute cack, dialup from eircom and you only 10 miles from Galway City, at most. Sadly there are another 270 or so exchanges like Knockferry. :(

Big Lars thread on Wireless Community Broadband is a must for you . Knockferry is technically an easy shot off a high site in Galway for backhaul. EG This One Camera Right.
