Boards was down for it's regular health check there, but now we're back!

Keith McFadden pushed over 100k on the button and it got through. He went to muck but his cards hit the button and turned over. As it transpires, Keith was chancing his arm with 52o! I think that puts an end to his raising for the rest of the day!

Nicky Power also found his chips over the line, or should I say over the ledge, but in a much more surgical fashion. With several limpers, Nicky pushes his 14BB's on the button. The BB looks to have a decision, but folds, as do the limpers.

SpencerJames has taken down one of two "Brucie Bounties" on offer after he knocks out Mr Bruce himself in somewhat embarassing circumstances! He pushes a Queen high flop holding AK and is called by the veteran's AQ. A on the turn means nothing, but a King on the river seals the deal. Rory now has over 250k and is one of the chip leaders of the tournament.

Dara O'Kearney also looks to have doubled up, I'll try get the lowdown before he leaves!

There's only 90 seconds of play remaining and it looks like 31 will make it through to tomorrow. I'll update with chipcounts shortly.

Play has now finished for the day (or should that read morning?). In all the events I've covered, this is the first I've attended that hasnt had a player being eliminated in the last hand! 31 players remain, meaning we have 4 tables for tomorrow.

I'm off anyway, it's been a long day and I fear that my bed has been sold off to the highest bidder in my room! I'll be back tomorrow for around noon to offer a preview of what to expect tomorrow.

Don't forget, the Brucie Freeroll is on tomorrow and registration begins at 1pm. Arrive early to avoid disappointment!

ps wat happened to sideshow ?

He disappeared towards the end of the night. I saw him at the cash tables but didn't dare ask him! I'll post up as soon as I see him!

Anyway, the room is unusually quiet here this morning, even though there's only 5 minutes to go until play begins for the final 4 tables!

    Is Rory Brown, Spencer James?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

Pat Mitchell has already secured himself a $2500 package to Vegas. He has a little over average, but may be tempted to gamble, gamble in order to get up there with the likes of Rory Brown

Rory Brown enters Day 2 as the chip leader. With the average at a little over 140k, Rory "SpencerJames" finds himself with 317,500k chips to play with! He has managed to stay comfortable all throughout the event and looks set for a deep run.

BrucePokers sponsored pro, Nicky Power is slightly below average on 130k, but as anyone who's ever played or watched Nicky this deep into an event will know that he's a force to be reckoned with and will pounce on any opportunity to accumulate chips.

Play is about to begin anyway, all the players have redrawn for seats so I haven't the slightest idea where everyone is.

    Yep

In the very first hand, John Gallagher knocks out Ciaran Taggart. He pushes with A7 and is called by the even shorter stack of Ciaran who has TT. The board comes down AQJ/8, but the gutter ball redraw doesn't get there. John now has 93k!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

As soon as John Gallagher gets the chips, he's involved in another big pot. There's an early position raise, John Gallagher shoves and Paul Corrway reshoves! The original raiser folds TT and John shows JJ which is behind to Paul's QQ. The board runs 26957 and we lose John Gallagher.

We're now down to 28 players, we'll be down to 3 tables once we lose one more.

    Grrr,

Had an update all ready to post but the internet went down. The bones of it was that The Metal Man called a shortstacks all-in. He was ahead with his AQ vs the shortstackers K9, but a King on the flop means the shortstack doubles up.

We're now down to 3 tables.

Rory Brown just saw half his stack depleted in a hand that never even reached showdown! On a flop that read 522, Eoin Naughton leads out in what was originally a raised pot. Rory reraises and Eoin ships for 240k total. Rory deliberates and even though it's not much back to him, folds TT and is shown pocket sevens

There hasn't been much happening in the past while.

Dara O'Kearney pushed his stack over the line and it was a domino effect of folding. Dara showed the Ace of hearts, but we all knew he had that anyway!

any sign of some cash action breaking out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

No cash games going at the moment. Registration taking place for the freeroll

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

    Dara O'Kearney Gone

Facing a raise of 15k, with blinds at 3k/6k/500, Dara shoves from Late position only for the BB to reshove. The original raiser folds, and Dara turns over AT which is in bad shape against Cormac Murrays AQ. The flop comes Q82 and another on the turn means he's drawing dead.

    what freerolls this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

    A cooler for Pat Mitchell

Mark Finnane just doubled up at the expense of Pat Mitchell. Mark shoves his below average stack into the middle and Pat calls. It's AQ for Mark and KK for Pat. Incidently we were on the bubble on this hand following a flurry of eliminations on other tables. Thankfully for Mark, he hit's an ace on the flop!

Play is now hand for hand!
