Oz Osbourne, one of last night winners has been eliminated. Barring a disaster at the cash tables it will still be a profitable weekend for the consistent American.

    Chipleaders neck and neck

Liam Barker has over 16Ok, while Sideshow is motoring along nicely with over 150k. Both players have some much sought after yellow chips worth 10k.

Almost certainly a typo of sorts. Alan is on dinner-I will question him on his hair when he returns.

Conor Broomfield has sought me out to report another grim beat in what is becoming a familiar tale for the solid regular.
"Conbro" has put himself in great spots to build a stack in the last three festivals but has been unable to hold when it really matters.
This time he got it on A 5 2 two spade flop holding 55. He was unable to sweat a spade on the turn as his opponents J9s made a flush.

Pat Mitchell is on the run of his life here, and as a result is set for the trip of his life having just won a $2,500 package to Vegas! This was the second night in a row that he's been picked out on stage with the BrucePoker girls. Congratulations Pat!

Tag was seen looking critically short before the break. We can no longer find him on the floor and fear the worst.--

Lazarus! Tag has just been moved table and is still alive. He still only has 8k and is really in need of a speedy double through.
Blinds are now 800-1600 and the running ante is 200.

Vera Duffy is almost down to the felt with 6k and shooting accusing glances at the dealer who is "refusing to give her any cards higher than a 6!"
Anyone who has played regularly with Vera would not rule her out of contention just yet even if she has to double through more than once to be comfortable.

    "Go on Dave McCarthy!"

George Power was getting relatively short stacked and found several limpers into his Big Blind. Looking down at 93o, he figures it's a great time to push and before you know it, his chips are in the middle. His shove finds no callers and he shouts out "Go on Dave McCarthy" as he rakes in the chips!

An unlikely duet have emerged in the form of Mark Finnane and Thomas Kitt, joint chipleaders on table 9.

Mark has been belting out Johnny Cash tunes all day while talented musician Thomas is proving to be talented poker player in his own right. He has had some success on the live circuit in recent months and is hoping for another deep run. It looks like only a matter of time before these two clash and play a huge pot.

Everyone wants a piece of Brucie

Bruce Byrne, the founder of Bruce betting is here today with a bounty on his head. He's playing on Table 13 and has thusfar proved to be a tough cookie to deal with. He recently just knocked a player out when he limped with Aces and was delighted to see someone shove behind him. It turns out to be a cooler with it being an Aces vs Kings scenerio. Bruce hit the Ace on the flop to ensure that his bounty remains unclaimed!

    You said no such thing!

And that was an event told to me by George himself. Will go get the counts of everyone else now.

    Nicky POwer: 55k
    Keith Murphy: 14.5k
    George Power: 37k
    Kevin Kehoe: 39k

Can't find anyone else with a Waterford head on them!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,438 ✭✭✭jbravado

Poker playing couple Colette Muphy "Smurph" and Martin Rafferty have been eliminated within minutes of each other.
It will be unusual not to see at least one of this formidable duo in the list of players who cash come the end of play.

Meanwhile Pauric McBrearty has been the latest player to run KK into AA. He at least added to his outs on the turn, picking up an inside straight draw but was unable to connect and has headed towards the cash tables.

    Keith vs Keith

Just as I finish counting Keith Murphy's chips, he's all-in! Keith McFadden limps in early position and Keith pushes for 14k on the button with AQ. McFadden thinks for a while before calling with Ah9h. There's a nine on the which means Keith Murphy is now faced with a dilemma - to stay the night or not to stay the night?!

presume that should be Kevin Quinn (Harry Potter lookalike).

Is Pat Storan gone & Buda ???

No, Kevin Kehoe, the AOL guy. Kevin Quinn is MIA. We fear the worst.

Pat Storan is eating a sandwich with Buda at the rail. They're keeping tabs on Nicky
