Because dogs are dangerous, messy, noisy and cats aren't? You might as well ask why there's no goldfish licences.

I'm pretty sure legally cats are seen as 'feral' animals.

If you knockdown a dog you have to report it to the police, not the
case if you hit a cat.

ah now cats can give u a bad scratch
and they pee all over the place and howl at night

Cats also pick up horrible diseases that they can pass onto their owners.

Unless you hit it *really* far, in which case you might as well start bragging.

    Cats not noisey?

You've obviously never heard them riding on your back shed at 2 in the morning, never heard a dog make them noises.

isn't the fine for not having a dog licence less than the price of the dog licence or something daft like that?

You also get a dog-warden in his 2mpg Toyota Jeep travelling on a 40 mile round trip to check that you have a licence for a 4 legged cretin.

    No. It's €12.70 p.a. for a license. It's a €30 on-the-spot fine if you're caught.

    .
cats a filthy. You have to keep a sandbox inside so they wont sh!t in your linen basket, whereas a dog will let you know he wants to drop a load and go outside.

dogs show affection, cats dont, anywhere to the same extent

Not when they're busy clawing your balls through the cat-flap after they jump on when you're watching tv.

It's a little known fact that the ISPCA is just a front for the umbrella organisation also known as the ISPCA (Internet Society for the Promotion of Cats for Amusement). If there were licenses for cats needed, there would be a severe drop in lol cat pics and the ISPCA are simply not going to let that happen.

Dogs have vehicular status whereas you can't saddle up a cat and head down to londis. That's why you licence a dog.

    This isn't my house. Mammy!
Yeah it's not actually my dog. I'm on pet swap.
    I'm from Barbados.
    I'm too busy studenting. etc.

No dog licence. Court appearance and a hefty fine.

All cats are unwanted as far as I'm concerned. If I didn't have such a strong objection to hurting animals, even cats, a swift boot up the hole is what I'd use to keep them out.

Check out this thread to see why those cat flaps don't work.

You know you really shouldn't place such blind faith in technology RTDH. :pac:

The one that didnt work was infrared, it works from a line of sight dongle on the collar. The one in the example I gave is RFID microchip, the sensor will only pick up when the chipped cat is at the flap. :p

The only way that this would fail would be if someone wrapped tinfoil around the cat. :pac:

You obviously didn't read the thread properly. The problem is that the two cats pal around with each other and so the unwanted cat can just 'piggyback' on the other cat when it legitimately activates the flap.

It's not that the flap failed to open. It's that it allowed an unwanted cat in.

Still it's nice to see you recommending RFID for once.

Because the govenemtn can't make money out of cat licenses. Imagine it.

Inspector: Do you have a licence for your cat?
    Owner: Eh... what cat?

    (Surprised Run-to-the-hills missed that one)

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Which means cats are survivors !!

Stoopid dog would starve to death

They should actually increase the price of the dog licence, considering the amount of dopey mutts out on the roads getting in may way - no wonder they call that thing on the bumper a "splitter" :D:D:pac:

Point out one story where a cat has killed its owner, or the owners chirdren or a neighbour, or the neighbours children.

Dogs have a much lower IQ than cats. Dogs love rolling around in ****s! All dogs have had free lobotomy.
