Yes have him posted there, dogs trust a couple of places. Hoping the more I share the better chance I have of finding his owners

Black and white female cat missing in the glasnevin//finglas east area. Last seen at Ballygall church on Sunday July 6th. Friendly but will resist being picked up so better not to spook her if seen.

Our cat ran away yesterday morning when the builders came. He's a mostly indoor cat and very nervous / anxious, so we are very worried about him. He's mostly white, with a black forehead, back and tail. He wasn't wearing a collar but he is microchipped. If anyone has seen him in Wicklow Town, I would be so grateful if you could post or pm me. Pic attached.

Reporting from a thread I did yesterday in the Galway City forum:

Friends just found a West Highland Terrier in Seacrest, Knocknacarra, Galway this evening, with a pink/purple collar.

Anybody missing one or know someone that is?

Looks recently groomed by the condition, so is 100% a house pet.

Found a turtle by the River Dodder (Dodder Valley Park).

We weren't sure what to do as it looked like a pet, so took him home to try and find an owner or more details.

From looking at pictures he looks like a Yellow belly slider turtle, so i take it he needs water? If anyone knows of someone missing a turtle or any more info on what to do with him please let me know as we want him to get a good home.

You're almost certainly not going to find an owner for this turtle.. he's been well and truly dumped at the river, joining many other turtles and terrapins that owners don't want any more, and cruelly dumped so unceremoniously.
It is becoming a problem, they may be a danger to the aquatic wildlife and need to be appropriately rehomed rather than left to an uncertain fate in the wild, in a climate they're not designed to survive in.
If you google, you'll find a couple of options re rescues who specialise in rehoming exotics, there's even one that sepcifically takes in turtles and terrapins (we're not allowed link to specific rescues on-thread).
Good luck, and fair play for not leaving him behind!

Thanks a lot for the info. Yes its tragic that so many are being dumped. I have him in the shed at the moment with some cut lettuce, dead flies and plenty of cover for him to burrow in (which he went straight into).

Gonna bring him up to the dspca tomorrow morning who said they have a exotic wildlife expert there who can look after him, so happy days :)

Thanks for the response and hopefully he'll find a new home. Glad we made the right choice in bringing him home with us now.
