The play has been devised by 21 young actors and written by local writer Adam Wallace over a six week period. Scotland's renowned Scott Johnston is on board as director. It's a local production showcasing upcoming, young talent and it's really worth seeing. Everyone knows someone who is/was a member of Wya in the past and they must know how incredible the origination is in giving young people a chance to have their talents shown! For that alone you should really check it out! I can also personally say the play is absolutely brilliant and will shock some people by how brilliant it is! A quick summery of the idea is bellow and for more information check out this Get your tickets before they sell out!

'Who was the first man on the moon? What are the trick cards in a game of switch? When did Waterford last win an all Ireland? Where did I leave my keys?.. A question is easy, only if you know the answer. But what if that question was Who am I? . . and you couldn't answer."

New Dublin Voices will also perform a selection of other sacred pieces including Beati Quorum Via by Stanford and Z. Randall Stroope’s The Conversion of Saul, his graphic and electrifying depiction of Paul’s experience on the road to Damascus.

THE FORUM WATERFORD Saturday 21st April 2012

    http://www.forumwaterford.ie/?p=listings&id=30

    Doors 10pm/Show 10.30pm

    'THE GROUP' presents
A live concert performance of PINK FLOYD’S ‘THE WALL’
    Forum Venue, Saturday, 21st April

The Group are no strangers to successfully presenting what would appear to be difficult live music concepts, as they proved during their spectacular re-creation on stage of Martin Scorcese’s THE LAST WALTZ live at The Forum last month. That 2 hour show earned a standing ovation from a full house. For their next project The Group will present a live music performance, including animation and extra scenes, of Pink Floyd’s THE WALL at The Forum on Saturday, 21st April.

Even before the original Pink Floyd album was recorded, Roger Waters always intended for a film to be made from it. However, his concept of the film was live footage from the album's tour, with Scarfe's animation and additional scenes starring Waters himself. EMI though were not so sure as they did not understand the concept. Director Alan Parker, a life-long Pink Floyd fan, asked EMI if he could adapt The Wall for a movie, they hooked him up with Waters and the rest is history. It is the version conceived by Roger Waters, focusing on live performance of those brilliant songs, which The Group will perform at The Forum. In fact, Mr Waters is doing something pretty similar himself at the moment, packing out arenas all over the world. So you are cordially invited to become “Another Brick In The Wall” at The Forum Waterford on Saturday, 21st April, doors 10pm til late.

Tickets €17.50 (+ service charge) are on sale now at Next Door (Forum Waterford), 051 871111 and www.forumwaterford.com
