Sorry I meant that she's had acts in the bottom two a few times -and dealt with it a lot more gracefully too as opposed to Cheryl's schoolgirl sulking. Very easy to smile when things are gong well huh!

Exactly what I was thinking as I was watching it...that was the tuesday night and she was well able to scream "toffee apples" in the camera. i like the girl but seriously, she should have made an effort, she'd have gottn thru anyway..wrong wrong wrong that those two were in the bottom...who the hell is voting for Daniel??!!!

Tactical voting by far tonight. It's become more of competition between the judges now. Laura was one of my favourites and was one of the most talented on the show. As soon as one of the strongest singers is in the bottom, they are booted out. No Simon and Louis have more of a chance of winning with their shoite acts.

She was screaming her head off at Guy Fawkes night in a VT during the Xtra Factor Results. First it was "Toffee Apples" then screaming at fireworks.

BTW, Toffee apples are just apples covered in sugary caramel-type gick.

Yeah, I'd say she's distraught that she got a bye into the next round. It's not as if she was forced to drop out like Rick Waller was during the days of Pop Idol, she should be counting her lucky stars. >_>

And I don't think Rick Waller would of had to worry about being kicked out at the time that his throat infection forced him to. It still happened. I agree that she wouldn't have been going out, but all the same, history would have been against giving Diana a bye into the next round.

I have to admit I am in shock that firstly those two girls were in the bottom two and secondly that Laura went. It should have been Daniel and Rachael in the bottom two as they are the weakest out of the whole lot. (Even though I think Daniel was actually pretty good this week)

What alot of people fail to realise is that the vast majority of voters are little teenage girls. I know I will be hated for saying this but they are going to vote for a) the boy they fancy the most and b) the girls they would be least jealous of!

So, with that in mind I believe its between Eoghan and Diana. Neither of which have the best voices on the show but Diana does have the "Xfactor" so to speak!

Having said that, I think Louis Walsh decision to get rid of Laura was appalling! He really should have put it down to the public vote! The guy is an idiot and I find him increasingly annoying each week!

I have to add that Diana is my favourite and from the sounds of things she seems to be the favourite of most people!! Although, Alexandra is a phenonmenal singer and will have a great career and by all means should walk away the winner I belive she lacks something that Diana has. What that is I am not sure!

:rolleyes: Exactly, thanks for proving my point. Diana is a marketing dream and that's why she was given a bye into the next round. Fairness and "exceptional circumstances" have nothing to do with it. Do you think if it was Daniel or Ruth that they would have got the same treatment?

It is quite unfair, you claim that she wouldn't have gone home yet Laura, the bookies 2nd favourite went home tonight. Thus, anything was possible.

Its called CHARISMA!! Diana is magic, when she sings i shiver,her voice has a deepness and qiver that ive never heard before!

However Alexandra is fab- if she was voted out next week she would still be snapped up by a record company i bet you any money!!

But sorry Diana is the winner. Come back to me a week before christmas when she is in the final and tell me i was right (can i make a post about this) ha

I agree it would have been unfair to boot her out though, but it still gives her an advantage.

If she wins, I will be very puzzled. In my opinion she doesn't have a good voice - it's very weak and she's not always great at staying in tune. Seriously though, the puss on both Laura & Cheryl tonight just proves that Laura is not worthy of winning... She is one of my personal favs abd her talent is undisputable but the fact that they are all SHOCKED at her leaving as opposed to say daniel is a rightly deserved slap in the face and just goes to show that "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT"

To allow a young person to think that if they get voted off the X factor that their life is over is an absolute disgrace & a typical example of "celebrity ego" being 1) out of touch with reality & 2) unable to cope with a COMPETITION is loosing sight of the bigger picture.
I know they work their arses off & invest themselves totally but HELLO.. you're already a household name for the time being!!!

Rachael has a bad attitude also & it wouldn't surprise me at all if Daniel is in the final let alone wins as he is the only contestant gracious enough & dignified enough to get the genuine break.. alexandra is so sure she's gonna win

I actually felt really bad for her, BUT, her performance was kinda pants
and her singoff song was technically great, but lacked emotion, esp being about her grandad im assuming passed away

Thats why Ruth got saved. I think tonight wasnt her best night, her voice did sound off, but she wanted it more

Sure look how gutted she was that she got through over Laura. she shows emotion. Laura was way too apathetic, apart from crying in all her VTs

it was like Carly Smithson in AI, although she was amazing the night she was voted off


Anyway. No way this is the last of Laura. GUARANTEE she'll be back this time next year with her new album

Louis just wants to expel the strongest singers and will pounce on any opportunity. What did he say, "I'm going to keep the singer with the strongest fight left in her"...Its a be-Jeesusning singing competition not the UFC.

I'm not gonna go on another Louis rant as Ive already made my feelings about Louis clear further back in this thread.


That aside I believe the show is descending into farce territory, the main reason being Daniel, whom I compare to the guy that runs the Karaoke and sings when no one else will (you know the type)!.

Ruth is not superstar quality, neither is Rachael. JLS, Eoaghn, and Diana (who I dont really like) are deserved of a place but Laura and Austin should be there as the natural organics of a competition dictates that the best people make it. This fails due to the judging panel set-up, the dynamic is wrong.

Thats what I liked about Sharon, she judged it on singing whether it was her act or not...Louis is a narcissistic cretin, get him out.

I was really peeved after watching last nights episode.


Diana. I would be of the opinion that the reason she has larynigitus is because she does not know how to sing properly or right and in the meantime has been using all the wrong throat muscles to sing. Actually Im surprised she hasnt got a nose infection, from singing through her nose, and an arse infection from singing through her arse.

ALSO -

The crew did a piece on Halloween.They were all standing outside the house and said in unision - " Remember, remember the 5th of November" and then all went to a bonfire. Diana was there and they showed her screaming with JLS at the fireworks. Surely being out at night in the cold in November not wrapped up is enough to get a throat infection. My point is, three days later she wasn't able to preform.

Actually, my real point is - Diana shouldn't be in the competition, shes brutal.

Hold up. (1) - Whats a VT? and (2) why isnt Eoghan allowed on the Xtra Factor, is it due to his age? I thought he wasnt on it last night because his mother had a baby and he might have skived back to Ireland for a quick visit.

I find that people who have no understanding of music or a musical note in their head, like Diana because she is 'different'. This is a singing competition at the end of the day not a diversity competition.

No i'm not, but I'm a pretty good armchair detective, and they said she came down with laryngitis on Tuesday (Guy Fawkes night). Sure she was a bit rough all week, but If i was on the show, there's no way in hell i would be screaming if i had a sore throat, i would be minding it, and there she goes she loses her voice and isn't responding to medication yet, which yes, is sad and she must be in bits over it, but hey, it's tv and those people put themsleves up there every week to be lambasted on some occasions by the public.

i do actually think she's okay tho, completly manufactured into that quirky/unique girl look hand and and all, but money making and marketable in this skins-esque society our teens seem to crave.. ROLL ON NEXT WEEK!!

VT= means video tape, which is very dated now but will prob stick with us forever...

I hadnt realised Eoghan wasn't there last night, I assumed he had gone to the airport with his dad or flown home...why, is he not normally up, is it past he and diana's bedtime or something?

How awkward was it during the xtra factor when they were all giving out about the two that left, saying it shouldn't have been them and yet no one had the guts to say who they wanted out! (Daniel sitting there all akward and oblivious)
