use of AAS is quite common with regular gym goers, some do a course every now and a few are on all year round, a lot of them dont look like there on though

from the snippets of conversations I hear when I am in the gym working out it would APPEAR that a lot of guys are on them.. Could be just talk though.

not safe for the uneducated, but a lot of users have a better understanding than doctors regarding AAS use

Another thing you need to think about is quality. You can know everything you want about cycles and PCT, get a bad batch and your ****ed.

At the end of the day, this is something you may be directly injecting into your body.

Dr's won't generally presrcribe them with out a proper reason but most will make sure you don't f*ck yourself up if you go to them. ie they'll do blood work for you etc, tell you if anything is going wrong etc.

So where do they get they stuff? in general, don't go naming names here

I image your average dealer wouldn't have a clue what AAS is and chemists won't supply unless the doctor gives you a prescription.

It's disappointing if it's true that so many are using steroids. Regardless of the apparent benefits, these chemicals are the opposite of what sport, health and fitness are about, and should be avoided. Don't be fooled, there's no such thing as a free lunch, when it comes to your body and drugs.

Competitive sport is about one thing and one thing only, winning. It is NOT about health and fitness.

They get it off the net usually if they dont know a local source and even if they do the prices here are a rip off i hear.I wouldnt imagine your local chemist having a bag of d-bol or winstrol in the back either

If you dont know what you're doing the chances are you're gonna get ripped off.The market is swamped by fakes and counterfeits.Going online without any sort of inside knowledge is like walking into a flats complex in a suit and asking for an ounce of cocaine.

I can understand this from an elite athletes point of view, this is what they spend their life doing, everything revolves around their discipline, and in sports where the difference between winning and 5th is so marginal then I can understand it.

A guy going to a gym, using stuff and pumping it into his system with not alot of education or knowledge just does not make sense to me,

Do they know the ins and outs, do they train the correct way for their goals, is their diet spot on for their goals,

All that said, you can accelerate it with this stuff, but how much of it stays on??

I would love some basic understanding of the ins and outs of it all,

That article is a load of bull, the guy was taking 4-5times what he should of been taking without any clue as what to do properly. I also doubt most of his claims as he pretty much encountered every side effect possible even though he was using counter meds. Think about it a fiction writer writes an article about roids that he wants published in a mainstream newspaper.

    a)my hair falling out
    b) my balls shrinking
    c) my skull expanding

I sure as hell wouldnt touch it no matter what the potential gains are

Totally agree about competitive sport, but in relation to recreational users, the risk / reward analysis doesn't hold up for me. At the end of the day most recreational users goal's relate to looking more impressive in a t-shirt . I think the benefits in this regard will be close to negligible for lots of people. Then, there is the risks, potential risks etc not to mention the cost. Nahhhh !!! Although a lot of people's analysis seems to point them towards taking the risk.

My perspective on roid use in general, is that it raises the bar of performance. Some might consider this a good thing, but in some sports it raises the bar to the point of being a barrier to entry. As a father who loves sport, it wouldn't sit well with me knowing that my child was getting into a competitive sport where it would be essential to take drugs in order to compete past a certain level. Would you be happy to let your child go down this road ? Would you trust the people advising, supplying ? Chances are you wouldn't know until it was probably too late.

Steroids will not effect your skeletal structure in that way They can however give that impression by causing the moon face effect

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,062 ✭✭✭gabgab

Ok so the stuff can be rectified by post cycles etc, but take 2 people, who both train well, clean diet, proper form, same calories per day etc,

One on a cycle, how long is one of these on average btw?

    All things being equal,

What gains will one make over the other over the course of the cycle?
How long will they hold onto the gains?

GH may do tho. But you'd have to be an awful gobsh!te to consider it unless you're a competitive bodybuilder looking to take it to the next level.

There's so much mis-information out there. I know ALOT of guys who use, and they're not showing any sides.

99% of the websites are a rip-off that take the money and either send crap or don’t send anything (the latter being the most popular option) I know of a guy (not in Ireland) that has gotten stuff of the net but he came to the site via word of mouth not google,

    #Smokey# wrote: »

D-bol No winstrol maybe it's Spanish made so im assuming there is a legit use for it, Most steroids are reserved for cancer treatment so id assume they are disshed out mainly by Hospitals which makes me assume that your local chemist has very little if any in stock (keep in mind if you ask them to fill a script in the morning and they need to order it in it’s normally there after lunchtime so there is no need for them to keep high risk products on the premiseiss that might go off before they are needed)

Cycle length depends on what is used like an example cycle would be

    500mg Test (1x Weekly)
    30-50mg Dianabol (Each Day)

    for 6 weeks

    then PCT.

That’s really a null and void question , the guy on gear to use it to get the optimum advantage needs more cals than the natural guy plus his training needs to be on a different level to the natural guy , this is something that most guy’s taking gear don’t realise hence why you will come across guys taking huge amounts with relatively little to show for it

    gabgab wrote: »

That depeneds on pct diet training Lee Priest claims that he holds almost 100% of his gains but loses a decent amount of strength

I think it’s time for Hanley’s patented “how log is a piece of string” It depends on meds, Orals only cycle it seems to be 8-10 weeks average (orals are very harsh on the liver) inject-abeles any thing from 3 weeks (short high intensity dosing is normally the only time a cycle this short is done) to permanently (not recommended) an average from other forums is 10-12 weeks maxing out about 20

On another note I recently read the article when it was published I think it’s fake based on this “1cc of Equipoise - a veterinary drug normally injected into beef cattle - and 2cc of Testosterone Cypionate” for those that don’t know 1 cc = 1 ml dosage of Equipoise is 200-400 mg while Equipoise - is a veterinary drug and the mg to ml ratio can vary slightly from country to country the highest it is normally found (particularly in Europe where he claims to have gotten his stuff) is only 50mg per 1 ml/cc so it’s stacked with something else I hear you say the test is about 200mg per ml/cc so that’s an ok dose of Testosterone Cypionate but Testosterone Cypionate is more associated with being a base for serious bulking while Equipoise is also considered as a base but for lean bulking , if some one is selling them preloaded (which I doubt they are) I cant see them doing up batch’s of an un popular mix , plus test cyp is normally done twice weekly

IMO he is just trying to make money off the article and book , in a very lazy manner let’s face it he didn’t even bother to check to see if he got the doses right , he picked one because it has “Testosterone” in the name and the other he chose for the shock value he can get from Joe public by telling them it given to “beef cattle”

two different types of steroids, 1. anabolic steriods (grow or increase)
    2. cortico steroids (decrease inflamation etc)

The jump in asthma in the population has been more prominent in the younger generations so it is only reasonable to expect that it show it’s self in sports played by said generation plus modern drugs have come along way in helping asthmatics play sports where a few years back they would have to sit on the side lines

More rugby players in general = more rugby players with asthma.

Bronchodilators and corticosteroids are used by BBers, but they have very, very mildly anabolic properties and they're used mostly for fat loss thanks to their metabolism speeding side effects - Clenbuterol is a prime example.

He made the whole thing up.He googled steroids, doses, modes on ingstion and side effects and cobbled the whole lot together to deceive people who know no better.I mean, what sides do you get after three days of usage?Gyno?Hair loss?Acrmegealy?Bullshiit.he THOUGHT you get sides after a few days becaues he doesnt know any better. He never mentioned acne on the back for example.Look at his "before" pic,he has never lifted a weight in his life.Look at his "after" pic,he still doesnt look like somebody who's spent any time training. This is where his lack of knowledege shows through again. No amount of steroids will get somebody who looked like "before" to benching thier body weight in a matter of weeks. He made the whole thing up,its fraudulent..screw him.
