I'm not in disagreement with you Kerrysgold,
if I had my way most breeding of purebred
dogs would be handled by official agencies
and the numbers kept down very low with
every attempt made to restrict the expression
    of inherent genetic problems.

    I don't condone 'backyard breeding' - breeding
done by people without too much of a clue
or a care - and this brings me back to you,
Peasant :p Arguing for animal rights/correct
treatment is a strong part of what I'm here
for too. Disagreement doesn't have to come
with a condescending or ridiculing attitude,
it just polarises the peanut gallery into two
disjointed, warring halves. No original poster
is going to take a drubbing and then act
positively on it (I would think). You catch
more bees with honey than with vinegar,
nach é? Anyway, that's my approach.

    :)

Well, if you insist on making this personal ...

I'm all for calling a spade a spade and more importantly, sticking with the issue and saying what you mean instead of pleasing everybody while being non-commitingly incoherent at the same time :D

    Case in point:

I think what Red Ice was getting at here is that the
genetic component of the problem is almost impossible
to avoid within the breed. Absolutely correct.

This isn't the focus I'd be favouring when breeding
pups, but it certainly doesn't make the things Red Ice
    says erroneous.

So ...have you actually something concrete and non-contradictory to say on the topic or is this just about criticising me personally?

If it's the latter, save your breath ...I'm well used to it :D

My attitude towards the OP's project
has been very clear since my first post.
The rest of my efforts involved smoothing
    out the twisted argument/deliberate
misunderstanding of what Red Ice had
    to say on the matter.

Your response is a perfect showcase for
    the points I'm making, actually.

    :D

Just learn to live with it :D

OK, fine :p I just ask you to envisage
the potential in guiding a person in two
or three minds to 'the right' versus
    shoving them.

    No hard feelings, maestro ;)

Seriously now, if I feel in the need for motherly advice, I ring her.

Please use PM if you got anything else to tell me, this is waaay off topic.

Can't believe you brought yore Ma
into it before I did :pac:

At the point where the thread veers
off to protest the breeding of chow
chows or whatnot, or drubbing a
    contributor for not appearing to
    support the peanut gallery opinion,
the thread is way off beam. This
forum could do with a lot more
    moderation, methinks.

    Over and out :)

That in mind, is that a reason to deny a mother from having pups?

Oh please, dogs aren´t humans, it won´t do her any psychological damage if she can´t have pups, she won´t go around thinking she´s less of a bitch
