Hi guys,the tracking number for the stuff i ordered from bestsale21.com automatically disappeared yesterday after showing the same status for about 25 days,what does this mean please?I cant track it on the EMS english site or on the Hungarian postal site either,

bestsale21 is not a Hungarian company. http://whois.domaintools.com/bestsale21.com it is based in Hong Kong, and looks about as legit as a nine bob note.

yea i know it isnt hungarian,but for a while i could check my EMS tracking on the Hungarian Postal Service website,my friend ordered once from them and received his package in 2 weeks.I could see my tracking number both on the EMS website and the Hungarian Post site until 2 days ago it totally disappeared saying there is no information for this tracking

Found this thread before Xmas, so was prepared for item not to arrive in time. (Originally ordered Nov 30th, but payment didn't process, which delayed order).

Anyway, I am still waiting for it to land in Ireland...

Frustrating

Guys I have been waiting on a package since the 4th december from ems. should i go to paypal and try for my money back?
I havent been able to track it since the 8th and the seller just keeps telling me to wait although he told me it would only take 15 working days and now it is 30.

If it's more than 30 days after making a Paypal payment then you can't start a dispute. I'm assuming you paid pre Dec 8th, so that's more than 30 days ago no, so Paypal won't even let you dispute this.

Hi LeahBaby

You should be able to 'track' it on the EMS website (I use the term track, but it only shows movement inside country of dispatch and destination country).

Once it leaves China, will not be updated until it reaches Ireland. That is what is frustrating. No idea if lost or still in transit.

It appears delivery is quite quick during the rest of the year, but slows to a crawl over Xmas.

It really is a terrible service.

It says the exact same as yours does Sidios.

As far as i know i can file a dispute with paypal within 45 days so thats what i've done. So frustrating. And the buyer gave me a negetive rating !

I was just about to advise you that was in fact 45 days (I believe they will contact the seller(?) and you will have 20 days to get resolved (Note: If still not resolved and you let those 20 days lapse without making claim, you will not be covered by protection)

It is quite possible that the item is still be in transit (I am going to wait a little longer before disputing).

Which 'buyer' gave you a negative rating? Aren't you the recipient?

oops I meant seller!!! He gave me that before I claimed because Id sent him a few mails saying i was going to file a dispute if he didnt even try to help me. he gave me the bad rating and called me impatient, so i filed a dispute.

Yes, you have 45 days (not 30) to start a dispute, and that's from the date of payment, not when it was shipped.

Was this bought on eBay? A seller can't give you negative feedback any more.

I am also one in a very long line of people waiting on a package from China.
I believe the weather and it being Christmas has put a huge strain on EMS and they are trying to clear a backlog. Not good enough IMO!
I am waiting on 3 packages from 3 different companies, 2 of which I've used before without a problem. I am waiting well over a month for the packages. One of them hasnt been updated on the EMS site since 27/12th. I contacted the company and they said they rang EMS and EMS said it would take one week to check out where it has gone. Does this sound normal? I paid for it on 13th/12th. Do you think she is asking me to wait another week so the time has lapsed for me to ask for a refund via paypal?
I rang An post about the three packages and he said there is no record of it having reached Ireland yet but that if it gets stopped at customs and it looks like a counterfeit item (which one of the packages is....don't judge me!!) they'll just take it and destroy it.

Any help appreciated!

As above, you have 45 days, from date of transaction, to dispute with Paypal - i.e. based on payment date of 13th Dec, would give you till Feb 7th to raise dispute.

My order left China Dec 19th @ 2 in the morning, and I have just checked An Post and it has FINALLY!!! arrived in Ireland. Good chance, yours will land sometime next week.

Regardless if item is 'counterfeit' or not, I would imagine An Post would still record item coming in, but awaiting clearance from Customs.

Hi I awaiting a package that was sent via ems since the 29/11/2010. How long does EMS track the package for?? Getting worried as I have been waiting so long!! I contacted the seller and they told me it would take EMS 2-4 weeks to track exactly where it is. Any help would be appreciated.

The seller is likely stalling you.

It doesnt take almost 2 months to post something from asia to here.

Depending on how you paid I would chargeback or dispute with paypal/ebay

Hi Jencor

Looking at others experiences, there has been a number of cases where in the run up to Xmas, the speed of delivery is unbelievably slow (from the sheer volume of goods being dispatched - see my theory below).

As per Max Power 1, I would check to see if you can raise dispute with the method of payment chosen (e.g. Paypal allow 45 days from transaction to raise dispute - and a further 20 days from when dispute is raised to get resolved - in order for transaction to be refunded). But it may already be too late.

To be honest, it is possible the item is still winging it's way over (EMS would have picked and processed some 'item' which has the number you tracked above) and it may just be stuck waiting to be put on another flight. (It is also possible that it may have been stolen or lost in transit).

My theory
If EMS transport to regular Airlines and flights, and they are going through GUANGZHOU (which seems to have limited international destinations - Frankfurt and Paris in Europe 1 flight a day? - and the volume of goods going out from there, they probably have a 'Raider of the Lost Ark' style warehouse full of goods looking for a space on the next flight.
Is the item small? that might have a better change of getting flight quicker, whereas a larger item would have to wait longer for sufficient room.

There could be a number of reasons why its still in customs. Being Valentines day on the way there would be a lot more people ordering stuff online and having it shipped in from other countries, so it could just be a case of its in the queue. Sometimes things can be held for a few days sometimes they are held for just one day, it all depends on where it came from and whats in the box. If your item(s) are worth a few bob, they may be checking it value to see how much Duty and VAT you need to pay. But it's only been 2 days so I would not worry just yet. If theres Duty to be paid SDS will phone you (provided you the seller has put it on the package) and let you know how much, if any at all.

Ahhh Thank you very much on this matter .... There just Slimming table's I hope they come true now.... & that is the case There coming in from China .... & There's little value on them .... So I hope they do not keep them and it's just waiting to be release .... That it's not too serious for them to be held by customs .... The reason I ordered it on the 6th was so I would have it by the 21st.. I didn't think that was unreasonable considering i paid $20 (€12) for the EMS 3 - 5 day delivery service.. I was so proud of myself for being organised enough to order it so early!

Today is the 18th, anyone think there's any chance of receiving it on time no?

It was only posted on the 16th, so your issue is not with EMS, but with the seller for taking 10 days to post it.

You won't get any international delivery in 3-5 days, bar maybe the large couriers like FedEx and DHL. Since this is only being sent from the sorting centre in China yesterday, I would doubt it will be here by Tuesday. Could happen, but I would think not. 2 weeks would be the norm for a delivery from China to here.
