    I see this thread started off with another episode of the Railway Children - When are people go to stand up to face the facts:

    Rail Transit is for high density population areas for commuting or for shifting large numbers of people from large metro centres to other large metro centres. This idea is even more lunacy than the ill fated and will fail Western Rail Corridor.
