In my defence I've only worn deck shoes "off-deck" twice. Every other time I wore them, I was sailing. So neah, they're practical for that reason. IE: They have white rubber soles to given good traction in wet environs without scuffing the deck itself. Also, they're bloody comfortable.

I also like Uggs. And damnit if D4 chicks don't do it for me too. So there you go, I'm a rugger bugger. Right from the upturned collar of my Leinster jersey to the bottom of my Dubes!

And if I ever get to go out skirmishing again, (assuming it's dry out) I'll wear Dubes just to annoy you.

Deck shoes are absolutely the best thing for long-distance driving. Fact.

Ugg boots are the most fantastic piece of footwear marketing in donkey's years. Fact.

(Though they absolutely don't do it for me on grrrls: I'm a heel man, I'm afraid - bedsocks with a leather outer are still bedsocks )
