    I won't. I hate the Rambo series

That would be why I left for a 0.01% margin of error.

I need a sense of realism from a movie that gives the impression of being realisitic. I don't mind a tongue-in-cheek style action movie not showing reloads or firing seemingly infinite amounts of ammo (Shoot 'em Up, Smokin' Aces) but movies like Rambo give the impression of realism, and when bullet-counters like me are watching it and see all the flaws (and there are a lot, not just with guns, I mean continuity errors), it breaks that sense and makes the movie a lot less enjoyable.

you need to just watch the film and stop thinking about it man.,:D:p

although its a good point, have you ever watched fast and the furious? I hope one day to get my hands on the type of gearboxes they used in that film just for a nosey because they seem to have around 15 gears in them.,:D

You're completely missing the point in watching a Rambo film. We watch it BECAUSE it tries to give a sense of realism yet fails miserably. They're duds. But lovable duds.

I know, I know, but I can't abide it. I'm anal like that. It's why I hated Die Hard 4. There was so much wrong I didn't know where to start. I walked out with my friend and he asked what I thought, I just said "don't ask" and never spoke of it again. St. Trinians was actually better than that.

Yes I have seen St. Trinians. And Yes, I did pay and I went to see it in the cinema. But I was with the (then) lil lady and in fairness, 90 minutes of top totty, if you ignore the film and just watch them it becomes a fairly entertaining flick

The Fast and Furious films were brilliant. Absolutely top notch. I got so much business from them for sound installations and light systems it was silly. I hope they make more of them

I just shaved and was shocked to discover a dozen portly midgets bimbling out from under my sink singing in irritating falsetto about a yellow brick road.

I called immigration and they are now all working on the Southern end of the M50.

I call this the Judy Garland effect.

Nakeddex: St. Trinians? How could you desecrate the work of the great Allester Sim by seeing that abomination?

I was lucky, they saw me in the morning and got everything over pretty quick and said there was no point in keeping me in as it wouldn't be until Tuesday they'd have my test results.

    Very simply:

Have. You. Seen. The. Women. In. It.

Plus I didn't have a choice. I wanted to see I Am Legend. She wanted to see something that wasn't violent. Incidentally she went to see it the following weekend without me.

Vte: Believe me ... its not something you want to see. Imagine what a balding ewok would look like and you pretty much have it right there.

NakedDex: Thats alright ... I was worried you might have to see it for entertainment reasons.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

The only entertaining bits were the pillow fights, the implied midnight shenanigans by the Posh Totty crew and Stephen Fry playing as a tv intellectual game show quizmaster who is beginning to wonder if this all his career is worth any more and then turns to some uppers and downers to make the rest of the show more bearable. That was easily the only good non-girl related part.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,021 ✭✭✭Hivemind187

Can you get me the time codes for when Stephen Fry is actually on screen ... I can be conveniently absent for the other bits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

It's near the end. Trust me, it's worth watching with the sound down. I wouldn't pay for it (again) but I'm sure it's not exactly difficult to download. I'm still trying to work out the order of those girls in my head. Maybe I'll make a list.
