I don't think he's diluded or mad or whatever, I think he genuinely believes in what he's talking about. To us it seem strange, implausible or just silly but to him it's part of his life. It's something he strongly believes in for better or worse. Ok, he may make a lot of over the top assumptions ("only we can help" and "foremost authority on the mind" spring to mind) but all religions do. And Scientology is a registered religion, not a cult (who knows how that happened). You look at any religion today and you'll find information that's just as crazy sounding or misleading if you look at it from a totally rational and objective standpoint.

Creationists believe the world is 12,000 years old, that all men and women are created by God directly and that dinosaur fossles and other prehistoric items were put there to test our faith.

Hinduism believe that God has three forms (the Trimurti): Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver) and Shiva (the destroyer). Brahma has 4 heads and 4 arms and created the seeds of humanity from his mind. Vishnu is said to have skin of dark blue, has 4 arms and is in existance in everything right down to atoms themselves which is how he maintains the world. Shiva is depicted as having 4 arms, three eyes and matted hair from which the river Ganges flows.

I'm not saying either of these are strange beliefs systems, but they're equally as askew from rationality as Scientology or any other religion. Believing in it passionately doesn't make him mad or diluded. It makes him devout.

The Christian armies went on Crusades in the middle ages for religious reasons as commanded by the Pope. So if you follow the logic that anyone with a religious devotion and leads/trains or advises a military body of any sort, that puts the Pope alongside Osama.

Religion has very little to do with Osama bin Laden, the Taliban and various other organisations. That's a power struggle guised as a religious problem. Muqtada al-Sadr is the perfect case in point. Read about his exploits around southern Iraq and you'll understand my meaning.

Devotion to a religion is a very powerful thing, regardless of what the religion is or what the beliefs of that religion would have them do. That's why it's being used so heavily in the middle east, it's part of thier beliefs that if they are invaded, or for other specific reasons, it becomes a holy war, not just a war.

Even if it is an entirely religious thing to Osama et al, who are we to question the viablility of thier beliefs against hours. Ideally all of this would be a non-issue and everyone would respect each others religious system, but the world isn't like that.

By the way, for anyone reading this and thinking "this guy is a religious nutter/tree hugger himself". Far from, I'm down on paper as being a Catholic on my birth cert and a Jedi on the census. I don't know if there's something else out there, but it's comforting the odd time to think there is. Be they invisible omnipotent beings, reincarnations of dietys, spirits within the earth itself or aliens, that's a personal choice each person makes.

No need for matches, I have one of those Swedish Firesteels. Mwahahaha, modern technology meets medieval justice. The Knights Templar suit is made of Kevlar composite and is part of the future warrior program, the crucefix is carbon fibre with an aerodynamic design for minimum wind resistance

yea, he spam-pm'd a few people on boards a while back, but he's actually a pretty good retailer so most people (myself included) will still buy off him

Yep I've gotten a good few bits off him. Shipping is not the fastest in the world but he is one of the better China retailers in terms of customer service.

I got a free set of multicam off him, cos he sent me the wrong size. He sent me a replacement no questions asked. Naturaly I had to forgive him for the spam after that.
I'm currently waiting for an order I made on the 1st Jan, Tracking said it left on the 11th.
