No pics of unmade beds with my gits. All shot in my little music room with ambient lighting - to make the guitars look, more relaxed... :) I'll be adding another pic in the next day or two - I've got another Gretsch coming soon! Yipee.

:D I'm seriously chuffed. I just hope that guitar doesn't have a big old hole in the body when it comes though... hollowbodies are delicate...

thanks chief! yeah it looks nice, but it's gonna cost money to get it to where i enjoy playing it,firstly i hate the pickup switching so im getting a chrome plate made that will take a tele three way switch
im going to dump the rhythm circuit as it's useless
im going to fit a mastery bridge

    $$$
    :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,355 ✭✭✭punchdrunk

Oooh im liking that subdecay and space echo combo! ;)

I wouldn't say useless (I think it's a cool idea, and I can see it's application), but I never found a decent use for it in my JM either.

ah having to turn off one pickup and turn on the other is such a pain in the hole!

i'm thinking of dumping the duncan's aswell, maybe go for some novaks or lollars

I haven't heard a lot about Lollars, but I've never heard a bad review of Curtis Novak's pickups.

Curtis is actually a member on Offset Guitars, he posts every now and then. Actually, if you haven't seen it already, have a read through that forum, the guys really know their stuff about offset Fenders.

Apologies for delay in The upload Voodoo, A little older than your brand spanker but still plays like a dream. Pickups are John Suhr VLP60's and Humbucker is the Landau Special. As my wife would tell you, not for people who "don't like 80's"- wench.
Rack is a little different now too. Mr Bradshaw very kindly built me a switcher that has stopped me jumpin around like michael flatley on pedals etc. How's things goin with the axe?

Reniwren, that is a lovely looking fretless bass. What make is is? Do you have any sound samples of it online? I'd love to hear it and also that 9 string monster from earlier in the thread.

Malice_ I was made for me by Alan at ACGuitarsno sound clips yet but I'l get some and let you know,
    Some specs:
Flame Sycamore top with a Butternut body. Black Ebony board with partial fretlines. 5 piece Maple/Mac Ebony neck.
RFB and piezo bridge into ACG EQ01.
    Extender on the E string.
Oil lubricated steel wool satin finish.

Alan does great work and has made 3 for me much better value than most other brands when it comes to the technology and playability and useually its touch and go weather you get a good bass from fender or the likes but your sure you will get a perfect bass from Alan.

Thanks for the link. I haven't gotten an attack of GAS in a while so I won't spend too long looking at the gallery on there :).

    ACG Fretless
Forgive the playing, I have a load of practicing to do to get anyway near good enough to play fretless and I know I have the song wrong just trying an audio sample to show that even someone who has hands mangled by hammers can get a decent sound from one of Alans basses.
Many thanks to Alan for all the work.
Now the playing is rough as hell,

Glassheart, that's a savage board! Suspiciously neat though...... :p

You've got a few pedals I'd absolutely love to have on there!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 501 ✭✭✭Glassheart

    Cheers Al,

The pedals at the top are on a tier raised a few inches.I have a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power and a T-Rex Fueltank powering the whole lot underneath.

The pedals on the bottom are on a false floor so i can run wires etc underneath that too.Look closely at the middle pic...

The board was 'custom' built for those pedals in that particular order.
All the power cables run underneath.I drilled holes for the power cables right beside the inputs on the pedals so very little wire is visible.

I used George L patch leads so they were cut to size with very little slack
and every lead and power cable is black so it blends in with the board.

    Thanks :)

It's actually ready to plug in and play.I agonised over trying to avoid clutter and thats actually the 2nd attempt...

I could build ya one for an extortionate price if you're interested? :pac:

What pedals do you fancy there?
You're a Kevin Shields fan right? You would love the reverse function on that Hardwire Reverb...
