thanks to all the peeps on here who gave me some great 'pre-rescue-cat advice'. today this wee fella stole my heart... meet Sheldon...
he's only been here for 6 hours and already he's learned where his litter tray and his scratchpost is, had his dinner, played, chased a jingly mouse round the kitchen, sniffed the entire house, and most importantly - found his bed! he's got a wee sore on his side from where he was attacked by other cats but it's healing nicely and in a few weeks he'll be going to the vet for his snip-snip
i love this cat. i LOVE this cat.

When my cat's sit like that I always say they look like a loaf of bread :P
I was looking through old pictures and I can't believe how small my 2 were when we first got them! We got them from a farm where they had about 3 litters and 9 cats still pregnant :rolleyes: so the lady grabbed the 1st 2 she could, I reckon Cream must only have been about 3 weeks, Peach about 4-5 weeks! So tiny, yet now they are so huge

Cream was barely bigger than my shoe!
Poor things were so tiny and scared
But look how cute they got after a few worm doses, a lot of feeding up and TLC
And then Peach became a poser
Synchronised sleepers
And now Look at the size of the terrible 2!

dolly getting ready to pull 480lbs earlier today.
this was dolly's first day weight pulling so i only let her pull if she wasnt straining herself. she pulled six blocks easily but she was only inching forward with 7 so we stopped her. once a dog is stopped they are walked the rest of the track with someone pushing the cart so the dog always thinks he's pulled it.
she pulled 14.5 times her own body weight. the winning bitch pulled 18.5 times her own weight so dolly wasnt far off. she also beat a couple of american bulldogs on ratio.
very proud of her

its just called weight pulling its fairly popular, there was about 30 dogs competing yesterday - pits, staffies, american bulldogs, mastiffs etc. its great for working breeds. gets rid of a lot of the energy/frustration build up they can suffer from. 0
