It's nothing personal DeV. Just the usual Irish lack of respect for authority.

And and and will the drop down menus work again when there's more than one page?!

Well they work over on boards.tv so if we are upgrading to the same version of vbulletin then they should work here also.

Only a Firefox issue in crappy ancient vBulletin :( The drop downs seem to work fine in vBulletin 3.6.x :)

I read over the infraction system, and it seems to be very similar to a suggestion I made a month or so ago about accountability and that stuff.

If it's implemented correctly it could save some major headaches...

    A couple of considerations.
    • It's likely that the banlist will no longer be publically visible, much mirth will be lost :(
    • On vBulletin 3.6.x there is currently no red_star_x.gif in the image/ranks folder so maybe they should be added, otherwise the subscribers will have no shiny stars to differentiate them from the masses :D

Hmm if the stars are missing it's probably my fault for not copying them in - they don't come with either vB by default...

MySQL NDB should support disk-storage of DB in the near future (if it doesn't already, think due 5.1.3++). Would allow some scaling out and hardening of the DB structure with synchronous replication. Probably overkill and there are a few small restrictions on what you can do with it, but it's the common-man's Oracle RAQ without the sub-Alpine j00-gold stash requirement.
Course, it's moot as afaik ye're running Postgre at the moment?

    Wan the collossus!

I've changed my sleep pattern so that I am now ready for bed.

Hopefully when I return, everything will be running smoothly.

Can we all give infractions to anyone on any forum, or is it just mods who can hand them out in their own forums?

*Twitches as clock ticks closer to 11am, and therefore real work*

Mods can only hand them out on their own forums afaik. I've used the system over on boards.org.uk but to be honest I've not really looked into it that much.

You can also get ready for a mass style edit to allow for template changes, ala multiquote etc etc :(
