Dunno about "beautiful", spectacular though. I was driving in the N11 a while back and on the inside lane was a lovely Phantom. Jebus it is one imposing machine. I'm hanging out my (LHD) drivers window gawping at it. When I pull level - he's gawping at my DS!!! I was well chuffed. His €300,000 to my €10,000. We swapped thumbs up and I pulled away.

I hate to sound like an old fart, but isn't it a matter of time before someone crashes because of this thread, while trying to take a photo?

I thought this shade of orange only looked
good on VW Bugs until I saw this Gallardo
parked on Ely Place last week. Imho it would
look much better with deep rims on the rear.
Bet the next edition will have them...

Still hate Gallardos. Poor man's Murcielago.

    Yesterday...

    A black PGO Speedster 2.

I saw a silver one a few weeks ago but didn't know what was. They look like a cross between an old Porche an a flattened VW Beetle. No photos sorry.

That Gallardo has been spotted and reported a number of times in this forum. Including yours truly! I've only seen two in Dublin, that orange one and a black one. I have to say I like the orange.

It is an old Porsche, or rather a replica of the 356 Speedster. Definitely the most beautiful Porsche.

(And of course the Beetle was produced by Ferdinand Porsche, Ferry's dad.)

It's true the Gallardo isn't a very spectacular car. I've a some shots of a purple and a yellow Murcielago taken in Belfast and they have much more presence.

A glut of goodies today, a new M5 (first one I've seen), but this took the rarity prize.

Looks much better than the standard model, beautiful seats and the carbon roof makes it, along with the wheels.

Sweet, but I saw a stretch limo, not uncommon, but this looked like a Panther De Vil, 'twas a 95 - D but was a damn good replica, one way of getting noticed, and I couldn't take any pics 'cos I was on my bike. It was on Templeogue Bridge btw.

Nice job, I've only seen one of those in Dublin.

More exciting than half the crap in this thread anyway. I'd take an Esprit over an Evo or a Gallardo any day of the week.

Over an Evo, yes. Over a Gallardo, are you mad?!

No, because the Gallardo is a rubbish car. The whole point of owning a Lamborghini is that it's a monster, a big horse of a thing that makes people's eyes pop out of their head when they see it, makes them cry out with lust when they hear it. If it's a bastard to drive, all the better. But the Gallardo is just a watered-down version of the Murcielago, and even the Murcielago doesn't subscribe to Lambo tradition imho, since apparently it's much easier to drive than the Diablo or the Countach. However at least the Murcielago still a jaw-dropper. The Gallardo will make you look, but not cream yourself. It completely defeats the purpose of owning a Lamborghini.

So yes, I'd take an Esprit over a Gallardo. Or, more accurately, I'd take the Gallardo and sell it, and then I'd buy an Esprit out of the change left over from the Countach or Diablo I'd buy out of the proceeds.
