I made this point a page or two ago but I'll make it again.

Change the bloody thread title if you want to guarantee 100% exotics pics.

I have looked back to the beginning and middle of the thread since I posted and in fairness the thread does seem to be 99% exotics bar a few very early posts. It seems all the old motor forum hands are already aware that despite the non specific thread title, this thread is for exotics only. The problem is is that new posters or even old posters who haven't looked at the thread before just read the title and merely post something interesting they saw on the roads today.

I agree with Calibos ... its also down to taste and opinion ... one mans idea of an exotic/classic car can be totally different to somebody elses.

I hope you don't mind a relative newbie who doesn't even have a photo to contribute intruding, only I was dropping people to the Four Seasons on Tuesday evening and the car park/ set-down area was full to overflowing with an assortment of Rollers and Bentleys, from vintage to the latest models, the likes of which I've never seen before in Ireland. All had drivers/ chauffeurs in attendance, and I just wondered if anyone else noticed this, and if the cars were on show as opposed to usually when it's the occupants on display. Thanks.

This thread is supposed to be for rare/expensive cars. i know some members dont agree with only posting expensive cars, so if they dont like it they should start their own "budget here's what i saw today" thread where they can feel free to post their ford focus', audi TT's etc. then everyones happy!

Or why not start a thread " Exotics I saw today .." ?

I am one for liking exotic cars in this thread, but I see nothing wrong in seeing cars not so " exotic " whether its a nice car, a discussion on a car somebody saw that may not be exotic but rare, A car that has been modified beyond all beliefs or what ever they might have seen.

Take a chill pill before this thread goes up in flames! We've been through this many times before in this thread. Other peoples opinions matter too with regards to cars they might see as rare or special in their own eye. I don't mean to get personal with anybody, I'm not pointing fingers I just wish we didn't have to go through this every 10 Pages of this thread :)

But in all fairness - Enough bentleys please :o:D

    *rant over*

    Sweet pics steve, as always!

yes, that sounds fair enough to me. Even pics of ridiculous looking boy racer cars should be posted here (so we can have a good laugh). ;)

yes i know that but with all the ford focus' and audi TT's among others that have been posted recently i thought it was time to set some guidelines.

should i take pics of an audi TT and post them here? or should AJ and the likes post pics of ferraris? i know everyone has a different idea of an exotic car, but an audi TT/ford focus/scoda octavia is not my idea of a rare car.

Another pic, no Mondeo ST220 this time but hey we all don't go on exotic holidays or live on the South Side!

I was just about to take a nice rear end pic of the Cayman when the owner came along and gave me a funny look as if I was going to steal it or whatever so I had to leave it.

The G-wagon is still being made, dog ugly, but then some people just love dog ugly! They also make a cabrio version which is pretty rare, only 20 made a year. Steve06 probably sees most of them around the port!

Are you aware that the Defence Forces had two locally built ambulance bodies fitted to G wagens back in the 80's.

I don't know if this qualifies... but I didn't risk my life taking it to do nothing with it... so there.

Far be it from me to slag off an 07 S65 - but the alloys and reg (which you can't see) ruined this one for me.

(How can you embed the jpeg in the message? I can only seem to attach which means you have to open it to view)

have to host the image on photobucket or the like then wrap the direct link to it in tags

not too exciting but unusual to see 2 rs4s in convoy, at least for me. assuming they were demos or something out of bradys in castleknock as this was just around the corner from them.

Didn't manage to get a photo, but I met a recovery truck in traffic in Moate during the week with a Ferrari F430 Spider on the back, the plate was 1 HGO Richford's have a similar one in stock so it might have been it.

Down the road in Horseleap I saw a Bentley with the plate 06 D 13 666 may have been the son of satan!:D

    1 HGO is a 360 spider

    How do you figure that?

    Checked it on www.hpi.co.uk and it's a 2006 F430 spider F1.

Sounds like the owner transferred his private plate to his F430 when he sold the 360 - and that Richford haven't reregistered the 360 yet.
