It would if thats what text sex was like. In my experience of this situation (and I have been involved in a couple) its two people who are riling each other in very very graphic detail and it often leads to much worse things.

texts themselves might be silly little things but they represent a much bigger problem.

sext is the new(ish) phone sex, it can ce very very graphic, involves pictures and because it seems "safe" you give away more then you normally would.

Its defo cheating, would you have net sex or phone sex if you had a partner (behind their back).

Because it plays a lot with the mond, its pretty strong in the reaction you can get. I would be worried if someone I was with did this, and its usually only a matter of time before the famtasy becomes reality, and you have built it up so high in your head you would sleep with the person much faster then if you randomly met them one night for the first time.

OP, your boyf id out of line here, and he's probably going to cry "neglect" or something (who knows, it might be true) but there is no excuse for not trying to resolve this with you first. as a girl whos been there from both sides, I know the temptaion, the reasons and the pain.

If it stays a fantasy, why not? Depends on how much they trust their partner really. Should we not let people have contact with ex's because they had sex with them at some stage? It could be argued that they have even more motive because the they actually experienced the bold thing with that person! If people can differentiate the difference between phone or text sex and the real thing, where's the harm?
