    Surprised by the op, I disagree with almost all of his points!


    1. The people have the most annoying whinging accent ive ever heard.
    -Wouldn't call it whinging tbh, more musical to my ears but thats just me... Talk to a gear head from inner city dublin or anyone from cork and you'll understand!

    2. The place is looks like its falling down.
    -Can't argue there for the most part but its the same with any big city...

    3 There are no decent single women in the place, they are all pregnant by the age of 18 and drawing dole.
    -LIES, last year on a trip up, there was at least 5 women to every guy in the bar I was in, had one on each knee wearing the face off me. Twas feckin great!

    3. The place is extremely xenophobic and narrow minded.
    -Really don't think so... Not worse then Dublin anyway!

    4. There are no decent bar/clubs.
    -See above...^

    5. The place has to be the most divided and sectarian city in Ireland.
    -True that... The house we were staying in was right in the middle of 2 EXTREMELY loyalist estates, union jacks on every house, curbs painted the same. We were sandwiched between the 2 with the tri-colors everywhere. It was a shock to the system really, very surreal...

    6. The place is full of scumbags.
    -Completely disagree, every city has its bad apples but the people up there are generally nice and very welcoming from my experience...

    Maybe you just got screwed with your area/people/women/bars/etc... But if that was the case you'd be the most unlucky man in the world...

    Hmmm maybe I'm just the luckiest guy in the world!
