THE stealthsim is specifically for 4.6 bootloader 1.1.2 phones

When you read that it can not be unlocked they are referring to a software unlock like anysim or IPSF that was available for iphones before bootloader 4.6

Note when its not aligned instead of just saying no sim it says Invalid Sim.

ok, i knot that CD will be delighted and relieved to hear i've gotten as far as restoring it to 1.1.1 - thanks for ur help. Do I now continue to upgrade it to 1.1.2?

I've got the iphonesimfreer inserted along with my own sim (cut as indicated in other sites) but it's still saying no sim.

if you have 1.1.1 then go to installer and install OKTOPREP then update to 1.1.2 (MAKE SURE YOU HOLD THE SHIFT KEY)then jailbreak it using the jailbreak.jar

Then in stall iworld select Ireland phone reboots

THAT IS IT DO NOT INSTALL ANYSIM

You must update to 1.1.2 because the modem firmware version you have is not compatible with 1.1.1

I got my stealth sim today and had the same problem, it wouldn't work at all so I got a new sim and it worked fine so I think it is an alignment problem, the stealth sim seems fine.

Hi Dan did you stay with 1.1.3 i see there is an app on the installer to allow you to put ssh on that was another reason i got rid of it.

I think i will wait a week or two till the apps are updated for 1.1.3

It messed up my phone competly wifi stopped working would search but would not connect did everything to fix it, Phone kept rebooting for stalling and i couldnt restore i had to give it to stephen to sort it out for me, It would nt let me get into dfu mode!

PowerHouseDan & CD - why are ye' so displeased with 1.1.3 so far using it through a jailbreak? Both ye're *Sim solutions work with it?
Is it because of the received SMS's not showing the number format properly?
Do apps that worked with 1.1.2 work with 1.1.3?
If not, is the above problem because iWorld isn't working with 1.1.3 yet?

I have used it with IPSF(untill i did a restore and got rid of it ) got it working with Stealth sim however.

Its to Buggy there are sooo many problems and i cant handle the appsupport issue(number format).

And no Apps do not work i installed Bossprefs and it has screwed me phone

I've tried for around two hours now and cant get the stealth sim to work. i've gradually chopped and filed away the corner from my own sim card and now there's more than enough space for the chip.

It didnt work when the perfect size gap was cut out and it still doesnt work, now that theres a larger space cut out. I've tried to secure the simcards together with tape but that doesnt work either?

Surely it shouldnt be this difficult to get it to work??????

Tried a different sim and it works!! Was trying an O2 sim that was a couple of years old. Put in a new vodafone sim and it worked straight away. Gonna try and get a new O2 sim for it tomorrow and will report.

I have to reply to dan and CD's comments about 1.1.3, a friend of mine has a 1.1.1 otb unlocked with anysim phone and he had awful problems with 1.1.3 (network settings not saving, etc
0, but I have a 1.1.2 otb jailbroken and unlocked with iphonesimfreer and it works a charm, much more responsive than old fw, maps work perfect and the 3rd party apps i have work too, ie bsd subsys, xterm and a few others. I have no network issues, no pref issues, and it hasnt crashed once since i installed.

From reading many forums on hackint0sh.org its looking like 1.1.1 otb ->1.1.3 is problematic, and 1.1.2 otb -> 1.1.3 is working just fine.

Whether or not the lack of baseband update will make a difference when sdk it out or for any other reason i dont know, but the main thing is that so far for me, its a major improvement and if they bring out a better software fix/upgrade that can use baseband upgrade or sim unlock il upgrade to that.

Just a post to calm the nerves of people who may have 1.1.2 and are nervous of update.

1.1.2 OTB unlocked with 3GPP sim.
I upgraded to 1.1.3 last nite and i love it. The number format is easy fix.
Just put +353 and drop the zero. Most of my contacts were in this format and the ones that werent i just edited on the mac and sync'd em!

A few apps in installer not supported. ie Customise but that will be updated in a few days. All in all way easier than jailbreakin 1.1.2.

An easy process and fair play to all involved!

By the way there is a guy on ebay from ireland sellin the china 3ggp sim.
2 working day delivery and works like a charm.

Just a qiuck update. Got locate me workin on google maps. Well cool feature!

Now for the phone part, seeing as I didn't have an iphone up to last night I haven't been following the unlocking progress. Can someone tell me (100%) what will unlock the phone to work with my Voda sim - if it's a chip (which I believe it is, no software unlock available yet) what's my fastest method of getting one and which one should I get? Is there anyone in Dublin selling them - more than happy to jump in the car and collect - would really love to get this working over the weekend.

@ bluemachavel - the locate me blew me away - verrrryy cool feature, didn't think for a second it would find me and pinned me to about 20metres.

there's a unlocking shop on aungier street in dublin that sell some sort of *sim solution, i think they are expensive though and it's unsure whether they work with 1.1.3 or not.

Thanks for that Cremo. Was just talking to the guy would you belive - 129.99 - pricey alright but you can't put a price on happiness as they say! Heading in there now. Will update later.

Same here. Im out in the sticks in Limerick at the min and can't get over how acurate it is. Try it out in town later, if it gets any closer it will nearly out do me gps

Ok, good news. Last night at 9pm I had an unopened, locked iPhone. 1pm today I have fully functioning iPhone running 1.1.3 - I'm a happy camper. Gotta love the internet!

1.1.3 OTB won't work.

Only 1.1.2 OTB or lower, that have been soft updated to 1.1.3
