That breaker's yard seem to have a habit of destroying the **** out of cars to the point that no useful exterior parts are left.

I see what looks like an S80 on top of another car behind it also.

It's such a wasteful society we live in.:(

I don't understand either, there are loads of parts on that coupe that could be sold internationally on ebay. Mad.

Sure the lads in most yards don't give a sh!te they're just told put that over there, so they do it, as roughly and lazily as possible, less work for them. Only some yards actually A: keep track of anything vaguely valuable or B: know what's a good money maker in terms of specialist markets or not

it's about time they copped on. I've bought parts from breakers in the UK who sell on ebay. They obviously keep an inventory of their cars and parts and store them well to preserve as much of the car as possible. I've sent them emails looking for parts and gotten prompt and accurate responses. Very professional service...

They should, but it's unlikely that many will any time soon

Lots of parts on the W140 Coupe that could be used, seats wheels etc.....

    Such a shame.

I'd say it was either crashed or the transmission broke and it was written off. Probably got a good price for scrap because of the amount of metal in it !

If it's an ROI reg like the B it's a crying shame it's been left to rot

It is original Irish, IIRC its a ****PI registration. Like I said already, it's been there out in that weather for years. Nice set of slotmags on it too. Real waste.

    Carcheologist,
re your comments about the TR and the MGBGT, I assume they are near you, there must be a story? Have you or anyone you know approached the owner?
    Regards Rugbyman

Oops Kevin yes you are right, I'll have to pull my list of TR6s and check, off the top of my head and old age is a dangerous mix

They are near enough to me, I just took the pics as i was working next door yesterday. I have never approached the owner, but I know him to see. Any Tralee head that's into older cars will know of these. He also has a MK2 jag on an original NIN*** reg, I bet a few of ye spotters know that car. That's also lost it's shine too sadly, and I haven't seen it in awhile.

Its at the back of a house in Riverstown, Co Sligo.

God knows what it is like underneath but from the top it doesn't look all that bad

Looks very frilly around the added sections but could be salvagable.
