I think you would have to excuse for this being that it was a freeroll and that is most likely time dealers would be trained in.

    correct an true!

just like to add my two pence worth

i am 5 10 and nearly 19 1/2 stone my favourite choc.. ah **** wrong forum

im sorry cor blimey if you took any "abuse" at the table personally, i try to keep a good cop bad cop personality at the tables and will try to alternate between personalities til i find one whick works best on an individual, if i see that the bad chinese cop is hitting the right buttons than get ready for for a constant barrage of "you not bet flop u not win pot, easy winner chicken dinner, and my personal favourite , after someone checks a monster to me looking for a raise and i dont oblige, you not like monnneeeeee"

there are very few people that i dislike in irish poker and usually even if things can get outta hand on the odd occasion i think that i have been man enough to apologise if i was out of line and will always share a pint and sort it out over a gallon

does any one know where i can get some placards made up as myself and dopey are planning a picket in the near future

what was all that dinosaur thing about? lol

yes the manager in the macau seems have gotten hold of our plan of industrial action!

He was quoted announcing to the cash game regulars "they better not come to the door , they are not barred i hate that word! They barred themselves!":) Correct and true

I cannot believe what I'm reading This barrage has somehow turned into a popping session at Bob and Gavin. I've seen players in the Macau fall asleep drunk at the table not ejected, I've seen players F and blind the whole table after losing every hand Slow rolling, Argueing over having to show losing hands And not a word Yet some people think its acceptable to come on a website UNNAMED and slag off other people. Anyway the people on here that think this is all made up nonsense about the Macau are very disillusioned people And someone said its been going on for 2 years lololol Its been going on longer

Over 3 years ago I saw The now infamous Management drag Yes DRAG a man from the casino for argueing with a dealer over a 5 euro chip This man wasn't screaming just having a disagreement Wasn't being threatening Just having a disagreemnet Yet he was DRAGGED from the Macau. I might also add he was a 5ft nothing China man whos weight was approx. 7 stone.

I'll move forward. Michael O' Sullivan is the greatest gentleman I ever had the pleasure of sitting beside on a poker table and off it. Barred for getting involved in hapless banter with the now infamous Management. The time he was barred he was probably the 2nd most succesful Irish poker player for the year in tourneys Final tableling in the EPT Cashing in the WSOP main event and Winning several tourneys As well a numerous othe cashes.Only bettered by the great Andy Black. What a way to promote your new and improved poker facilities.

I also witnessed staff being roared at by staff Threatened with unemployment and homelessness if the interacted with customers on any level. No talking about your day in this club no way hosa.

I played in this club for 7 days a week and saw everything that went on week in week out for over a year When I stopped going on principle I was 3rd in the Cash game league for hours playedand had missed the first half of the 3 month catchment period Thats how often I was in there. The Casino seems determend to destroy the great cash game that is NOT BEING PLAYED in cork Quiet happy to have 200 €50 punters who they rape with rake who will never know the diffrence.

There are more incidents I could list out but I think I've made my point So to all the great poker players and gentleman that are unfairly barred from the Macau I salute you And Pray every night that we shall one day be sat around a table in Cork playing the Great game

    Your Faithfully

I think most of the people slagging Bob and co are either free-roll merchants or have been exposed as frauds.......Personally I'm glad Bob is barred, it means he's travelling the country playing poker and (finally at long last) doing something charitable with his poker winnings.......I'm also sure that if he does open a club it will be a huge success as players will flock from all over for the craic let alone the poker action.

Whatever about anyone else, if Michael O'Sullivan is barred it just shows that there is something very wrong going on.....And I know Ken, have spent a bit of time in the Macau and I thought that although he could be a bit short with people he was sound.....Telling stories about him when he's not posting responses here is prob not the best idea in my opinion.

Let me assure you that the management are more than aware of this site and its contains yet remain silent so as to seem hard done by. Nothing is stopping anyone fron replying to anything on boards and The management are not short of people who are able to talk. I for one would be a lot happier about the situation if they were willing to discuss issues with the poker playing community but they seem more than unwilling. If I was unfair towards anyone in anyones eyes then I apologies but I don't think I spoke out of turn And if I was out of line I'm sure the phones of the good people of boards.ie are off the hook with "people" asking to have me removed

The Thread Reads Macau fest and this is not wat the posts are about .. From watchin Catchphrase "i say wat i see" and to be fair i have been to 2 Macau fests and they run a good show and have always been good to me , I know that i have friends Barred but i have asked for them to be given a chance or it to be looked at but they run a strict ship ...

I really do like the club and stff and it is a pity that this thread is leading to an onslaught of Macau management haters poppin out , But i will be there for the main event as it is one of the best in the country ..

I really would have loved to see BOB/PAT/GAVIN/MICK there for this as the atmosphere will not be the same .. I can only go on my experience of playng there and o have never een anything from the players listed above that was untoward nor from the Management .. So ill stand in the middle at the moment and support there Festival

Neill, I've played in your club with you, I've been accused of collusion with you online merely for having banter one night, I'm friends with Vesty Who I know your friends with And I play in his club I'm friends with the lads in Galway at the 4 Aces and also play in The Sporting and The Blazing Aces.

I would never claim to know anything about these clubs Merely because I'm just not there enough. I'm know your not saying that you know but some people are. The Gentlemen of the Barred Alliance(The GBA) were all regulars week in week out without fail One of them made his living from the place.

If you wanted to have a big cash game in Cork with the best players. Most people around the table are in The GBA. It doesn't make sense. My problem with all this is its bad for the game never mind individuals or clubs or managers. The game is what we all love and want to make it progressive not destroy it and right now the poker scene in Cork is on its knees and the future is an uncertainty. When it should be up there with the best games in Ireland

I'm pretty sure if someone in your club made a suggestion on how the place was run or commented on the rake (Not that theres a problem with either You have a fine est.) Then I believe you would listen, Agree or disagree But never be rude or intolerant.

Three full tables in the macau last night one holdem cash game (average stack 70ish) , two round of each tables (one smallish game average stack 150ish, one pretty good game average stack 350ish maybe more). A tournament that started at 8pm and finished at 2 30 am first prize 1850 for a 50euro buy in.A really good atomsphere ,plenty of craic and good humoured banter some of it aimed at me (i probally deserve it lol). A fantastic new menu . A pretty good evenings enternaiment baring the fact i droped a monkey!
If you ask me and the 70 odd poker players in attendance last night, the state of poker is not looking to bad at all!

Are you applying for the position flipper referred to for the Macau in an earlier post sitout??

You would make a great ambassador for the Macau..... And it would please punters management etc

Personally I think you could do better if you became the unoffical Cork ambassador to Macau and promptly moved to that country and stayed there:p :p:p

If you need help with the directions Im sure the management/patrons of the Macau will show you the way.....

Is Constance a female derivative of Cornelius..... I'm off to get some estrogen tablets and my sisters bra:eek:

    :D:D

Have it sussed......... The sister in the Godfather was called Connie, short for
    Constance.

That will save me having to change my name when I get the snip:) :)

I wish these estrogen tablets wouldnt taste so bitter......but at least if I keep it up the boys in the Macau wont make fun of my chest anymore:cool:
