Such a nice song. I'm not kicking myself because Husky Rescue rang no bells, but the song is so familiar and distinctive, must have been used on some slick ad campaign.

Hold on a sec... how'd you do that?.. Did you know it beforehand or was that some fancy trick, taking a random sample and finding out the song name using iTunes or something... I gotta know - I could really use something like that!

I have that on the Samsung Tocco and it id'd the song too. Was quite surprised that it did. But yeah, great little application.

Hey everyone!

I am just wondering if anyone out there knows the name of the song or even the band which plays the seemingly samba/bossa nova music in the Heineken Memory hotel ad.

They are playing in the lobby and the music features most strongly towards the end of the ad if that helps. They resemble the Buena Vista Social Club and it gives a quick shot of an older looking men dressed all in white with a white strellson hats if i'm not mistaken (could well be B.V.S.C although I have my doubts due to the more Brazilian sounding music).

This one should be fairly easy. A couple of times recently in clubs I've heard a catchy song, sounds a little bit like the Ting Tings. In the chorus there are gun-shot sounds where it goes "bang bang bang bang".

Does anybody know the name of the tune that is currently being part of an ad on RTE for the "King Vetera" car?

It goes "you can have it, if you want it" with a sort of choir behind the male singer. It is a great tune though I have only heard it twice in this ad.
