This song is called "One Way Glass" and is by Manfred Mann Chapter III. You are right, it's a class song, especially the brass section.

Anyone know what the song used near the end of last week's Top Gear (the one with the trip across America) is? Piano based tune, appears at about 6mins 30s into this clip.

I'm trying to identify the track used in the latest TV trailers for Lost.
It sounds like a 60's hit. The lyrics I caught were
"I wait patiently for you"....

It has a kind of hispanic feel to it even though the lyrics are
clearly in English..

any ideas? sorry if this has been answered before.

I recall it now. The founder member of that band passed away late
last year if IIRC. You are right - it's a great song. Wasn't he one
of Hendrix's inspirations in the early days? !
